Oppenheimer: Christopher Nolan Is Back! The Teaser Trailer Of The Film

Universal just released a short video announcement of Oppenheimer, Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated new film. In the movie, screened in US theaters before Thor, very short black and white clips from the film are shown but above all, we hear some fragments of dialogue from the film. The film marks the beginning of a new era for the director of Inception, who “divorced” his historic studio Warner Bros (with which he made the trilogy of the Dark Knight, Dunkirk and Tenet) after the disagreements over non-stellar receipts of his latest film Tenet.

Oppenheimer: The First Scenes Of Nolan’s New Film

We still don’t know much about Oppenheimer, except that it should be a biopic about the man “godfather of the atomic bomb”, that is, the one who managed to make the bomb from theory to devastating war practice, ending the Second World War but causing the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people in Japan, effectively paving the way for the Cold War.

In the film, Cillian Murphy will play J. Robert Oppenheimer. In the video, however, we do not see the actor well (framed from behind or with the hair pulled down on his face), but some elements that characterize his character, such as the elegant hat. Instead, we hear several rumors accusing Oppenheimer of being a fool, of handing over to the United States the ability to destroy the world, but also rumors extolling his ability to match the Sun’s energy in a bomb. In closing, an entry defines the scientist:

The man who moved the Earth.

In the movie, we also see a countdown that announces that there are about eleven months left for the release of the film. In fact, among the few known things about the film is its release date: July 21, 2023. This means that the film will go into confrontation with another of the most anticipated and talked about films of the coming year: Barbie by Greta Gerwig, a film produced by Warner!

The other reason why Oppenheimer is making so much attention is the huge list of top-notch actors and absolute stars who make up his cast. Scrolling through it seems that even the extras are interpreted by great names in the world of American cinema. This is a more than a partial list: Kenneth Branagh, Jack Quaid, Dane DeHaan, Florence Pugh, Josh Hartnett, Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Benny Safdie, Gary Oldman, Rami Malek, Dylan Arnold, and Alden Ehrenreich.
