Despite never being appreciated by his mother, Shinji strives to be a responsible son, but Kiichi decides to run away from home. However, Anzu finds him, and the boy admits that the opinion of our protagonist is the only one that matters to him. The next day, to everyone’s surprise, Kiichi turns himself in as the real culprit behind the fire that occurred 13 years earlier.

After the arrest, Anzu does not believe that the boy is a criminal and goes to find Makiko. She reveals that the day of the incident she went to Mitarai ‘s house to return everything she had stolen.
