Valimai is the second film made by a combination of Tamil star Ajith and talented director H. Vinod. The title of the film was released in Tamil without at least translating it into Telugu. The Telugu dubbed version with the Tamil title was released simultaneously. The teaser, trailer & making videos of the film starring Karthikeyan as the villain have raised huge expectations on the film. Let’s see if the movie is on the same level!!

Valimai Review: The Story

The youth of the city are addicted to drugs. They join a biker gang for money to buy those drugs. They do chain snatching and murder. At one point these gang antics turn into a headache for the state police. The Police Department hands over the responsibility of curbing the biker gang anarchy to Arjun (Ajith). Arjun himself is a biker. How did he stop this gang? So what was the problem he faced? Is the story of “Valimai”.

Valimai Review and Analysis

Valimai movie is definitely a treat for Ajith fans. Bike stunt scenes, arresting villain Karthikeyan in the first half. Actor Ajith is intimidated in action scenes as his bike racer team comes to free him and a fight ensues between them and Ajith. All those scenes where the accident happened during the shooting have left the fans in awe. Amma Pasathula Ajith overtakes everyone. Ajith’s attempts to appease his mother, who is holding Adam “Kutty Varanum” without thinking of his brother who joins the villain gang and hits him on the head and escapes, are heartbreaking.

The villain Karthikeyan is bringing together the unemployed youth through an app and turning them into slaves of Satan and doing his needs and smuggling business. His screen presence is such that fans are kind of intimidated whenever he is shown. Ajith Kumar’s brother, who wanders around the gang as a jobless idiot, is also caught. Ajith Kumar is heartbroken in the climax as the brother who saves and corrects his brother and sister who are enslaved and degraded like a brother for his mother, even though the scenes where he beats Ajith on the head and makes the villain Karthikeya escape are all seen in many films.

Director H Vinod captures the importance of mother-father affection in an environment where young people are trapped in a magical world like the Dark Web. But it seems to everyone watching the film that the film would still be great if it had cut a little lentil in the second half. Ajith Kumar’s strength movie is full of plus and minus scenes. Still, the strength of the film certainly did not fail to give fans the greatest theatrical experience. Feel free to watch the film for action and stunt scenes. The film is a disappointment to those looking forward to a new screenplay.

Technical Group Performance: Photographer Nirav Shah should be mentioned first. His screenplay of action sequences is “creepy”. It is no exaggeration to say that this level of action blocks has never come before in the history of Indian cinema. The Indian version of “Mission Impossible” gives the feeling of watching if watching the action sequence. Gibran’s background music is said to be the lifeblood of the film. He involved the audience in the film with his own style and typical sound designing. Yuvan Shankar Raja songs are soso.

Special thanks to the Production Design & Art Department. It’s great to be able to fully understand and study the real biker gang called “Satan Slaves” and present that theme on screen. When it comes to director H. Vinod, not only does he analyze in depth the stories and characters he writes, but also the way he designs the character arcs is a testament to his directing talent. The action scenes & placement he designed for the film were thrilling. Crowds flock to the bus chasing sequence, especially in the second half. However Mother Sentiment has become a speed breaker for the movie as it is a high range action drama.

There is not even the slightest damage to the film if that sequence is removed altogether. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. The impact created by Fastoff could not continue in the second half. Leaving aside this small minus it must be said that Vinod has increased his level as a director.

Valimai Review: The Last Words

Except for the Mother Sentiment scenes in the second half. The whole movie is “Valimai” which goes without a single dal moment. If this movie is a full meal for Ajith fans, this movie is a good experience for the general audience. Overall, Ajith has received another blockbuster. Let’s see if producer Bonnie Kapoor announces a sequel to “Valimai”.
