You Season 3

You Season 3 Ending Explained: New Life In Paris?

Back in the Box, as Cary begins to weaken, Sherry realizes that Joe and Love will be the weak spots in the Box because they cannot be trusted. So, Sherry desperately searches for a hidden key. Meanwhile, Joe is aware that he cannot stay in Madre Linda and that as authorities will soon be looking for him, he leaves Henry in the care of Dante and Lansing. At the end of You Season 3, Joe realizes that Love knows he intends to leave her and takes a knife from the table in case she decides to attack him. It is then revealed that Love has coated the knife with a sedative, and to her horror, Joe falls to the ground, paralyzed.

When Love bends over to finish Joe off, he sticks a needle in his leg containing a deadly toxin. While his wife falls into a coma, our hero recovers their child and sets the house on fire. Season 3 finally ends with Joe, considered dead in the fire, who begins his life again in Paris. Ironically, the poison Joe injects his wife is the same one she used to murder her former husband, James. At the end of Season 3 of You, Joe survives and Love dies. To be doubly sure, Joe repeats that he carefully measured the lethal dose of the poison.

He also sets the house on fire with Love’s unconscious body inside, and his remains are later found in the rubble. To cover his tracks, Joe cuts off two toes and leaves them in the house. He is therefore considered to have died in the fire as well, and we see him for the last time starting a new life in Paris.

With that, the chapter on Madre Linda is closed, sort of. In death, Love Quinn became a popular hero, even more famous than Guinevere Beck. In the aftermath that followed, Madre Linda began to heal. Theo, who still lives with Matthew, is in physical therapy. Dottie, who is still not sober, allows Dante and Lansing to continue caring for Henry, even though Sherry and Cary make it out alive and then write a book about their experience. But what about Marienne? According to Joe, this part of the story is unwritten. Joe looked for them, her and Juliet, but they couldn’t be found. Joe, however, believes he will run into Marienne again.

Is Love Really Dead? You Season 3 Ending Explained

The Season 3 opens with the installation Love and Joe in an idyllic Californian suburb with their newborn. However, all is not rosy as Joe now knows about Love’s murderous inclinations and believes he needs to get away from her and his son Henry as soon as possible. By killing Natalie out of jealousy, Love also makes it clear that any girl Joe is interested in risks being murdered. For once, our murderous hero faces a more unstable killer than him.

That’s not all, and Joe ends up finding out how Love’s ex-husband mysteriously died when he tried to leave her. Thinking that he can still get away with Merienne before she finds out, Joe sits down to dinner with his wife one last time. In the middle of the meal, realizing that Love knows about his plan, he picks up a knife from the table. However, his cunning wife has planned the evening well and reveals that the knife is coated with a sedative. Soon Joe collapses to the ground, paralyzed.

You Season 3 Love

When Love bends over him to kill Joe, he surprises her by injecting a toxin into her leg. It’s the same chemical Love used on Joe, but in a lethal version. Soon Love falls into a deep coma. To ensure his death and erase his tracks, Joe then burns the house with Love’s body inside. He cuts off two of his toes and leaves them in the rubble, so he is believed to have perished in the fire as well.

The last time we see Love, Joe drags his body before setting the house on fire. We can be almost certain that Love is indeed dead. However, his legend seems to endure in the neighborhood of Linda Madre, where they once lived. The season ends with Joe explaining how Love’s troubled family life and tragic death have become part of local legend.

What About Fiona?

In flashbacks, Nurse Fiona is a kind woman from Joe’s foster home who becomes a second mother to him. In the absence of his biological mother, Sandy, Joe finds comfort in Fiona. Fiona, like Sandy, is in an abusive relationship. Under Joe’s helpless gaze, the nurse repeatedly shows up at work with injuries.

Eventually, Fiona mysteriously disappears and Joe reunites with his birth mother, who has found another family. During their brief conversation, Sandy admits that she needs to start over and abandons Joe. You Season 3 ends with Joe being abandoned by both his real mother and the woman who replaced her, which instilled in him a deep fear of abandonment.
