Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein Review: The Series Is Full Of Twists And Bloody Conflicts But There Something Missing?

Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein Review: Even if the name of this web series released on Netflix was the fun of these eyes, then it does not matter because the story has no direct relation to its title. Except that the famous song Yeh Kali Kali Aankhen… from Shah Rukh Khan’s film Baazigar (1993) gets played in all the episodes along with new musical instruments. The series in its name may give the illusion of being romantic but basically it is a crime thriller. After the opening minutes, romance gets left behind in the story and the criminal mindset prevails. The problem of platforms, producers and writers making web series in Hindi is that they assume even before it starts that the story will expand in the second-third season. The result is that he does not focus fully on making the first season strong.

Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein Review

Director Siddharth Sengupta has drawn the story of ‘Yeh Kali Kali Aankhen‘ quite a lot. This series is of 8 episodes and after a while it starts to seem very long. The gap between the scenes and the episodes starts dominating your mind and you think that whatever you want to see, you end by skipping, man. On the other hand, similar things also increase your interest in the series to a great extent and you stay in your seat to see what happens next.

Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein

This web series of Tahir Raj and Shweta Tripathi is reminiscent of the films of the 90s in which the makers have added OTT spice. If you are a fan of 90s Bollywood thrillers then you will definitely love Yeh Kaali Kali Aankhen. In this series, the audience easily gets the dose of the 90s but the songs of that era are not heard. There are definitely some songs in the web series which fail to captivate the audience. The biggest drawback of this series was that the emotional scenes could not make it emotional. Nothing like this would have happened if the director would have thought that the audience would cry after seeing the scenes or get angry. Despite the hard work of all the actors and the understanding of the director, this web series overall proves to be average.

Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein Review: Performance

Tahir Raj Bhasin’s work in the series is good. One reason for this is that he is a good actor and the other is that the story of his character has been shown to increase. Everything else is as if the pawns of Vikrant’s story have been kept to take the story forward. Aanchal Singh has done a good job in the role of Purva’s passionate lover. Shweta Tripathi Sharma’s work in the role of Shikha is great. Saurabh Shukla, Surya Sharma, Brijendra Kala, Anant Joshi along with other characters have played their characters well.

Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein: The Last Word

This story of love, power, passion, and bloody struggle has many flaws. Extravagant jokes and extravagant abuses have been entrenched in the series. The story of the series was seen progressing in the initial episodes, but after that a lot of jaggery and dung also happened. Perhaps only the second season of the series was going on in the mind of director Siddharth. That’s why he could not make the first very strong. Nevertheless, if many things are kept in mind, then this series is quite engaging. After seeing its end, it is clear that the second season will also come. What amazing director Siddharth will show next, it will be a matter to be seen.
