Withering Rooms: Release Date Out Here is Trailer and Everything We Know

Developer Moonless Formless, a small studio based in Seattle, and publisher Perp Games have announced the release date for Withering Rooms. This video game, available in Early Access on Steam since October 2022, will be released on April 2, 2024. In addition to PC, Withering Rooms will also be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, as announced last month.

Withering Rooms marks the meeting point between traditional survival horror and side-scrolling action/RPG. This 2.5D title is set in a procedurally generated Victorian mansion, whose structure is constantly changing; the player will find himself faced with a large bestiary made up of classic horror monsters, but in addition to escaping he will have the opportunity to face them with a myriad of different weapons.

• Face a vast cast of monsters and bosses: grown undead, invisible ghosts, devious witches, axe-wielding madmen and many more.

• Eliminate the sting of death by performing rituals to preserve items from night to night or level up permanently.
• Meet a cast of strange friends, merchants, liars and witches, each with their own agenda.
• Cast a wide variety of spells: create hex traps on cabinet doors, enchant armor to help you, or create an imitation of yourself.
• Even greater dangers – and even greater treasures – await in the hedge mazes, tombs, caves, churches and ruins beyond the grounds of Mostyn House.
