Under The Banner Of Heaven: Andrew Garfield Is A Detective Dealing With A Crime In The New Trailer
Andrew Garfield at the center of the second trailer for the FX miniseries Under the Banner of Heaven, which will debut in the US on April 28, 2022 on FX Network and Hulu. The video shows Andrew Garfield as a Utah Detective who must balance faith and justice as he investigates brutal crimes that rock a small community. Under the Banner of Heaven is based on the 2003 essay written by Jon Krakauer and chronicles the double murder committed by Ron and Dan Lafferty, two Mormon brothers who killed their sister-in-law Brenda and niece Erica in 1984. The brothers were former members of the School of the Prophets, a Mormon fundamentalist group, and Ron claimed to have had visions of God asking him to commit the crime.

At the center of the plot will be Pyre, played by Andrew Garfield, the detective who must deal with the Lafferty case. As the young man discovers the clues linking the religious group to the crimes, he begins to have a crisis of faith. The actor, nominated for an Oscar 2022 thanks to his performance in Tick, Tick … Boom! will make its debut in the world of TV. Also in the cast are Daisy Edgar-Jones in the role of Brenda Lafferty, Sam Worthington and Wyatt Russell will instead have the part of Ron and Dan Lafferty. Performers also include Denise Gough, Billy Howle, Allen Lafferty, Gil Birmingham, Adelaide Clemens, Rory Culkin, Seth Numrich, Chloe Pirrie, Sandra Seacat and Christopher Heyerdahl.
