Filmyhype.com Ratings: 4/5 [four stars) [yasr_overall_rating size=”large”]
A laptop was arranged and connected to the soundbar. We all started watching TVF Pitchers Season 2. After watching all the episodes of the show, I felt that I had not seen anything like this till now. Till then I was not introduced to the American show Silicon Valley. Well, still there was no show showing the startup culture in the Indian space. The last episode of the first season is over. Speculations started as to when the next season would come. Watch the interviews of the cast and team to know what is going to happen next. This wait for the second season dragged on for almost seven years.
Now the second season of TVF Pitchers has come on Zee5. There is a lot of pressure on the sequel of any successful film or series, whether it will be able to do better than the previous one or not. If I have to describe the second season of Pitchers in one line, I will say this, a strong sequel to a strong show. Must-see. Although there are some flaws, still you will like this season. Why did I form such an opinion? We will talk about it in detail further.
TVF Pitchers Season 2 Review: The Story Plot
The story of the second season opens about four years after the first one. The company named Pragati, which was started by four people has now become a team of 24 people. Looking at the above, it seems that the company has become big, money has come, now everything will be fine. It just doesn’t happen. From here, difficulties start to arise for Naveen and his team. Responsibilities increase manifold. We have to beat the competition in the market, we have to partner with the necessary people, we have to use the money carefully, as well as we have to raise funding for the future.
The bottom line is that the formula ‘Tu Beer Hai’ will no longer work. The writer of the first season, Biswapati Sarkar, said one thing about the first season in an interview. After seeing the pitchers, if even one person gets inspired by the startup, then their work will be done. This is the main difference between the first and second seasons. The first season was kind of magical. A boy thought of an idea in college. Suddenly he leaves his well-paying job and starts working on it. His friends come along. Let’s go out in our tune. In this journey, someone’s heart breaks, and someone’s father gets disappointed. But this ‘Sikander of Muqaddar’ finds his place.
The second season is closer to reality than that. The condition of Naveen and his team is better now. Everything seems to be at hand. But then everything starts slipping out of hand. Spiderman has a famous line, with great power, comes great responsibility. That is, with any power comes great responsibility. The real hero is not the one who has the power, but the one who understands the responsibility that comes with it. This is where the shoulders of Naveen and his team start to weaken. The journey of any hero becomes interesting only because of the obstacles coming his way. Arunabh Kumar, Prashant and Shubham Sharma, who wrote TVF Pitchers Season 2, understood this very well. For Naveen and his team, one issue gets resolved later, another comes before it. In such a situation, you feel connected to the hero. Want to know what is going to happen next.
TVF Pitchers Season 2 Review and Analysis
The most important hero of TVF Pitchers Season 2 is its writing. Writers had to take care of the connection people have with the first season and its characters. Also had to raise the bar a little higher. Here he managed to strike a balance between the two. You see Yogi throwing the phone in anger, finding a pen drive in Mandal’s pocket, and finding a coin in Naveen’s blazer pocket before any important pitch. But the meaning of all these things has changed here. Now Naveen cannot take big decisions by tossing a coin like this. The habits of the characters have been kept, but not just because they can be redeemed. Things are also attached to them over time.
Like the character of Mandal. The one who has matured after seeing time and worldliness. Abhay Mahajan has also played him in the same way. The way he showed the fury of the character by opening his mouth slightly and bowing his neck, it can only be called a great job. Naveen Bansal is the central character of the story. Progress is made because of his idea. Being a founder, Naveen goes through the most changes. The intoxication of position rises to the head and brings with its arrogance. Naveen plays him in such a way that this transition of the character does not bother him. There is a scene in the fourth episode where Naveen explodes on someone. shouts. In that entire scene, Naveen’s voice does not remain in the same range. Till the end of the scene, it seems that the person himself might not like to explode on the person in front. In the beginning, hollow anger, then by the end of the talk, the throat starts getting choked.
Yogi-turned-Arunabh Kumar does not do anything out of the box at the level of acting. He delivers as much as is expected from his character. Apart from these three actors, it is also necessary to talk about Riddhi Dogra here. She played the character named Prachi. What is his connection with these people, you will come to know in the show itself? Just looking at Riddhi, it can be said that she is an aware actor. Easily understands the mood of the character and can deliver it accordingly. Apart from them, Ashish Vidyarti and Sikandar Kher are also associated with this season.
All the characters of the show have done a strong job in their dialogue delivery. Talking about dialogues, one thing needs to be mentioned here. TVF Pitchers Season 2‘s dialogues are not a literary achievement. Very common and simple, and perhaps this is his achievement. The kind of conversation you expect from the character, he speaks in the same way. If a character is desperate and goes to another, it will not happen that the other one starts throwing long motivational quotes. He will explain it as it is.
After all the praises of TVF Pitchers Season 2, now let’s talk about the flaws. Things that didn’t work for me. First, the finale of the show. At one point things are on the verge of ruin on a grand scale. Been heading in that direction for a long time. While going on this path, the show suddenly pulls its hands. Haste is seen in the last episode. Keeping in mind the way the world of the characters has scattered the place of another episode was easily saved.
Cinema has become an important part of our life and in such a situation, if there is a series or film which motivates us for real life with full of entertainment, then it is the most important thing. In such a situation, TVF Pitchers Season 2 comes true on this scale. There are many such scenes in the series, with which you can connect in real life as well and are forced to think. The background music of the film is its life and helps to a great extent to keep it engaged. At the same time, the acting and editing are also good. Some of the shots in the series are amazing. Apart from all this, the script proves to be a bit weak and there are many such words (which are necessary according to the series) that are quite difficult for the common people to understand. Till now TVF’s content was meant for everyone, but this series will not be embraced by the desi audience. The rest of the metro city audience will love it.
First of all, let’s talk about Naveen Kasturia, whose work is commendable. After about seven and a half, mold yourself equally well in a character. It is not easy at all, which Naveen has done. The performance of Naveen Kasturia shows the same Bansal as in the first season. On the other hand, if we talk about Arunabh Kumar, he has the skill to do wonders not only behind the scenes but also in front and he has proved it once again. In the character of Yogi, he is once again seen filling colors. After this, talk about Mandal i.e. Abhay Mahajan, this time his character is more mature than before.
In such a situation, Abhay has been seen in the same style this time too, although the innocence which was there in the previous division is less visible this time. But it is because of the story, not because of the actor. Riddhi Dogra is the new addition to TVF Pitchers Season 2 and she has proved that she is second to none. The attitude required in the character She has maintained it very beautifully, due to which she has looked very strong. In the midst of all this, if there is no talk of Abhishek Banerjee i.e. Bhati, it would be unfair. Even though Bhati’s character is small this time too, it is quite impactful. Not only the looks but also the swag with which Abhishek has delivered the dialogues.
It is very effective apart from these, other actors like Sikandar Kher, Luv Vispute, etc. have also played their part well. This season is directed by Vaibhav. There is hope for improvement in his work as a director, but if you don’t look closely, you can leave it as a viewer. But it is quite impactful. TVF Pitchers Season 2 is on the pitch, though this season is a bit slow as compared to the first season. However, even after this, there is a lot in this season, due to which you can enjoy it with your friends.
TVF Pitchers Season 2 Review: The Last Words
In the entire review, I talked about three people as the founders of Pragati – Naveen, Mandal, and Yogi. It was teased in the trailer that Jeetu is no longer a part of the team. Jeetu is like Voldemort. Disappears from the story and no one takes his name. The show does not put into words why his character went his way. The reason for his departure was kept superficial. Perhaps this was done keeping in mind the third season. However, it rarely happens that the sequel of any successful film or series can add something new to the legacy of the previous one. TVF Pitchers Season 2 looks forward to exploring the reality of the seemingly magical world of startups. What one will achieve by following one’s passion is a later story, but kitne dhakke aayenge that way, the show seems keen on that. Success is not a destination but a journey, he seems keen on this. For this reason, I would recommend that TVF Pitchers Season 2 should be seen.
