Thunderbolts Parents Guide: Is Thunderbolts Fit to See With Children?

Thunderbolts Parents Guide: Everything seems to indicate that Thunderbolts is one of the best Marvel movies in recent years, or at least that’s what the first reviews say, and the 88% rating the film currently has on Rotten Tomatoes. This is not a typical movie of Marvel. Even though critics say it’s a refreshment to Marvel’s roots and all those things fans love, this is not a story of heroes fighting for humanity, but rather follows a group of antiheroes and villains carrying with many traumas, with the weight of their mistakes and with a series of complex decisions that marked their lives, those who are forced to work together on a dangerous mission, allowing them to redeem themselves. Further, Thunderbolts is a movie very important for phase 6 of the MCU, and many of its characters were confirmed to appear in Avengers: Doomsday, so you have to see it to understand where this universe is moving and what is going to happen now that the Avengers are out of the game. But is it a movie to see with children, and how old?

Is Thunderbolts Kid-Friendly?

The classification of PG-13 points out that the film is suitable for children around 13 years old (from 11, 12, or 13 years old), who are accompanied by their parents.

Thunderbolts It is for children, but not too young, since, as shown in the classification, it is a film with a lot of violence, blood and disturbing moments, but not only that, it is also a film that touches deep and dark themes, which are not they are necessarily suitable for children (and they will not necessarily understand the little ones).

That said, it is a movie that can be seen as a family, as long as you have enough judgment and are willing to have a conversation about it, since it talks about things like trauma, past mistakes, regrets and redemption.

Also, the film has a duration of 2 hours and 6 minutes, so it can be too long for very young children.

Remember that this is a movie that connects with the events of Avengers: Doomsday (many of its actors have already been confirmed in this movie, along with the Fantastic Four and the classic X-Men), so it’s a movie you can’t skip if you want to understand and follow phase 6 of Marvel.
