We will also see the impact the virus has had on the front lines, with stories of doctors, nurses and nursing home workers, as well as scientists racing to find a vaccine, all perfectly amalgamated with the political drama experienced behind the scenes since the Prime Minister. In addition to Boris Johnson, this England will also feature many other prominent figures: Ophelia Lovibond (Feel Good) will star as Carrie Johnson and Andrew Buchan (The Crown) as then Health Secretary Matt Hancock. In addition to addressing the COVID-19 pandemic, the show will also touch on issues related to Brexit and Johnson’s controversies, both personal and political.
