The Witcher Season 4: Liam Hemsworth Will Replace Henry Cavill, in the Role of Geralt of Rivia
Liam Hemsworth will replace Henry Cavill in The Witcher Season 4, the fourth season of the acclaimed epic-drama series, taking on the role of Geralt of Rivia. The announcement comes ahead of the series’ third season, which will arrive on Netflix in the summer of 2023. A four-part prequel series, The Witcher: Blood Origin will release on December 25, 2022, only on Netflix.

Through an Instagram post, Henry Cavill said: “My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been full of monsters and adventures and, alas, for the fourth season I will have to lay down my medallion and my swords. In my place, the fantastic Liam Hemsworth will take the mantle of the White Wolf. As with the greatest literary characters, I pass the baton with reverence for the time spent embodying Geralt and with the excitement of seeing Liam’s interpretation of this fascinating and nuanced man. Liam, good sir, this character has a wonderful depth, enjoy diving into it and seeing what you can find”.
Liam Hemsworth added: “As a Witcher fan I am over the moon with the opportunity to play Geralt of Rivia. Henry Cavill was an incredible Geralt and I am honored that you pass me the reins and allow me to wield the blades of the White Wolf for the next chapter of his adventure. Henry, I’ve been a fan of yours for years and have been inspired by what you brought to this beloved character. I will also have some big shoes to fill, but I’m really excited to enter the world of The Witcher“.

They have to react, put everything on the line or risk being lost forever“.
