The filming of the third season of The Witcher has officially begun, with Netflix releasing the first photo from the set of the series, accompanied by a caption that reads: The Witcher family is reunited! Production on Season 3 began with protagonists Henry Cavill (Geralt of Rivia), Anya Chalotra (Yennefer of Vengerberg) and Freya Allan (Princess Cirilla of Cintra). To celebrate this moment, Netflix releases a photo from the set on the first day of shooting. Showrunner and executive producer are Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. The series is also produced by Tomek Baginski, Jason F. Brown, Sean Daniel, Mike Ostrowski, Steve Gaub and Jarosław Sawko”.

The Official Synopsis Of The Witcher Season 3 Reads:

As monarchs, wizards and beasts of the continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect her newly reunited family against those who threaten to destroy her. Charged with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where he hopes to find out more about the girl’s unexplored powers; instead, they discover that they have landed on a battlefield of political corruption, black magic and treason. They will have to fight, put everything on the line – or risk being lost forever.
