Finally, after almost two years of waiting, this Wednesday The Umbrella Academy Season 3 premiered on the Netflix streaming service and everything seems to indicate that it managed to captivate critics. The first episode of the third season opens with a flashback set in Seoul, on October 1, 1989, when a girl from Seoul becomes pregnant and gives birth on the same day. We can assume that this girl is Ben’s mother.
The credits scene starring Ben sees the latter in a suit and tie reading a book or manual of some kind inside a Seoul train carriage. Ben is on his way to Yeouido, where his mother probably lives. Recall that mothers are all alive in this timeline. The Umbrella Academy’s post-credits scene is also expected to play out sometime after Season 3 ends and not immediately thereafter. Ben now seems to be set in Seoul and has a job.
