The Snow Girl Season 2 Ending Explained: Who Killed Allison, Where Laura Is, and What Happened to Miren
Based on the second novel in the Javier Castillo saga, “The Snow Girl Season 2: The Soul Game” follows Miren Rojo (Milena Smit) while investigating a new case in Malaga. Shortly after receiving a Polaroid from Laura Valdivia, a young woman who disappeared years ago, the journalist learns of the macabre murder of a young woman who attended the same school as Laura. She believes that both cases could be related, so she initiates an exhaustive investigation that once again exposes her to danger. What happened to the two victims? Who is responsible? Next, I tell you what happened in the second season of the Spanish Netflix series. Although she is forced to work with Jaime (Miki Esparbé), Miren continues with the same line of research. He interrogates Andrés Garrido, the director of the Los Arcos school, but he does not get much, so he visits Laura’s relatives, who still have not overcome their loss. While the uncles believe that Tomás Mendoza is responsible, Nacho Valdivia (Hugo Welzel) shares some data with Miren.
While dealing with the death of her mentor and friend Eduardo (Jose Coronado), the protagonist of the second season of “The Snow Girl” receives another anonymous who invites her to play. After analyzing the note, it reaches “The Soul Game” and “The Raven of God”, and must follow a series of challenges to discover the person behind the website. The end of The Snow Girl: The Soul Game clarified that behind Alison’s murder was Nacho (Hugo Welzel), the brother of Laura Valdivia, whose disappearance turned out to have no connection with this death. The kid held a grudge against Miren (Milena Smit) for not having found her sister, after her promise years ago and the successful investigation of Amaya’s case, obsessing over her and starting a dangerous game of faith. His buddy, Borja Pineda, was finally killed by him when he claimed that he wanted to leave everything and that he was not going to tell anything. Tied to torture her, Miren also discovered that the psychopath had also been behind the death of his friend and mentor Eduardo (Jose Coronado), whose absence marked the life of the young woman.
The Snow Girl Season 2 Ending Explained: Who Killed Allison, Where Laura Is, and What Happened to Miren
Meanwhile, Jaime locates Tomás Mendoza, who denies being the murderer and provides evidence that the police hid and altered the information about Laura’s case. Thanks to that, Jaime meets a witness from Laura’s last day of life. He tries to contrast the data with the police in charge of the case but only gets a negative. Another conversation with Jaime makes him consider that Slide’s page is related to the disappearance. When Jaime talks to him about a mysterious game that existed in Los Arcos, Miren looks for another victim of the game, and with the help of Nacho, he meets Borja Pineda, who has scars due to the tests he carried out by order of the Raven of God. After that interaction, Miren performs his first test, marking a cross on his arm with a razor.
Miren and Jaime’s advances slow down after an influential person visits Diario Sur. Meanwhile, Chaparro (Marco Cáceres) and Belén Millán (Aixa Villagrán) investigate the macabre murder of Allison Hernández (Francisca Aronsson) and discover that an abortion was performed shortly before her death. Also, they interrogate the main suspects, but they don’t get much. However, Garrido is arrested when Allison’s grandmother finds her granddaughter’s bible among the things of the director of Los Arcos. Although Garrido is released for lack of evidence against him, he is removed from office. By losing everything, he decides to reveal a secret he has kept for years.
Who is “The Raven of God”?
Thanks to Emilia Pedraza, the protagonists of the second season of “The Snow Girl” discover that Alberto Mendoza and Garrido were classmates and the founders of the Ravens of God, a religious group that met to discuss the Bible and pass tests of faith. Her challenges caused the death of a classmate in the 1980s. But they are not the ones behind Allison’s death. After the death of his parents and the disappearance of his sister, Nacho found in El Cuervo de Dios the way to deal with his pain. He manipulated teammates who were going through difficult times and felt alone to play along. Nacho was the one who murdered Allison. But what happened to Laura?
What Really Happened to Laura?
Nacho chose Miren as his target to re-investigate his sister’s case because years ago he did not keep his promise to find Laura. Jaime is the one who discovers the truth about Laura. Garrido reveals to the journalist that the student Valdivia had an affair with the powerful businessman Alberto Mendoza and was pregnant when she disappeared. He also mentions that the Green House was the place where the secret couple was. Jamie discovers the location of Alberto’s property, thanks to Tomás. In that place, he finds an adult Laura, and her young son. In order not to lose Alberto’s love, he agreed to disappear and settle for a life of confinement.
What Happened to Miren?
To catch the Raven of God, Miren accepts the last challenge: burn all her research material on the beach where she was sexually abused. Before she can complete her mission, they knock her out and attack her in the same way as Allison Hernández. Only at that moment does Miren understand that the person in charge is Nacho, who is in charge of telling him every detail. When she manages to escape, Nacho chases her and stabs her, but Miren uses her last force to assassinate her attacker. However, after those traumatic events, he decides to disappear. Where is it? What do you plan? Meanwhile, in Madrid, a raid occurs where they find a secret camera full of discs with the Slide logo. One of the records includes the recording of Miren’s assault. Are these the lead threads for season 3 of “The Snow Girl”?
What is the Relationship Between the Laura and Allison Cases?
From the beginning of the season, it is hinted that the disappearances of Laura and Allison are connected. However, the truth is more convoluted. Allison was a victim of the Soul Game, a challenge based on extreme evidence that Nacho used to lure and kill her. Laura, on the other hand, did not disappear because of the game, but because she had become pregnant with Alberto, an older and powerful man who decided to separate her from the world to hide her relationship with her and her son. Although it seemed that director Garrido and Alberto were involved in both cases, in the end, it is revealed that the only connection between them was Nacho: Laura was his sister, and Allison his victim. Look, he had investigated both disappearances without knowing that his enemy was closer than he imagined.
Why Did Nacho Want Revenge on Miren?
Nacho blamed Miren for not having found his sister Laura, and in his twisted mind, he decided to make her suffer as he had suffered. To do this, he manipulated the Soul Game and used it as a trap to lure it. His obsession with religion and punishment led him to make it his “final test”, pushing her to the limit with cruel challenges, including forcing her to return to the place where she was raped years ago. The murder of Eduardo, Miren’s mentor, was also the work of Nacho. Borja injected him with a lethal dose of insulin to cause his death and thus make Miren experience the pain of losing someone important, just as he lost Laura.
What Happened to Miren After the End?
Miren’s fate is open at the end of the season. A year after the events, no one knows where he is, but the series leaves clues that he is still active, working in the shadows. In the final scenes, we see a raid against Slide, a secret snuff content trafficking organization. It is hinted that Miren, along with Detective Belen, could be behind this operation, using her experience to hunt down monsters that exploit women. Nacho told Miren that, in writing his book on the Amaya case, he became a target for predators seeking to exploit vulnerable victims. Perhaps the only way to protect yourself and do justice is to disappear and continue fighting from the shadows. If Netflix renews the series for a third season, we will likely see Miren infiltrate an even darker and more dangerous network.
What Does the Back Room the Police Find Mean?
The last sequence is set a year after Miren Rojo faced the soul game and almost lost his life for it. Laura Valdivia has returned to her usual life and gives an interview to Jaime Bernal (Miki Esparbé) in which she explains why she had decided to hide after becoming pregnant. For your part, the look has disappeared without a trace. Jaime himself looks at his empty seat and his smile reveals that he knows much more about her than he told his interviewee. Subsequently, the series concludes with a police raid in the back room of a store where they find a hidden room. There they find numerous shelves with committed materials, tapes, and other files, among which we can see a file dedicated to Miren Rojo and accompanied by 2009. Its name is added to that of other very many women, being able to read others such as Cristina Ruiz (2000), and going back to archives dated even in 1994.
