The Midnight Club: Here Are First Look Images Of The New Netflix Horror Series
Here are the first official images of The Midnight Club, a Netflix horror series created by Mike Flanagan and based on the novels of Christopher Pike.
Netflix and Vanity Fair have released the first official images of The Midnight Club, a forthcoming horror series on the famous streaming service. The series, created by Mike Flanagan, former author of Midnight Mass and The Haunting of Hill House, is adapted from the novels by Christopher Pike. Other directors involved in this series include Viet Nguyen (Lucifer, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Morgan Beggs (Once Upon a Time, Smallville), Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour (Black Box), Axelle Carolyn (Creepshow, The Haunting of Bly Manor) and Michael Fimognari (The Haunting of Hill House). As already revealed by the official trailer, released in June on Netflix’s Geeked Week, the series will be released on 7 October 2022.

The Midnight Club will consist of 10 episodes and sees Mike Flanagan and Leah Fong engaged as both creators and executive producers along with Trevor Macy, Julia Bicknell and Christopher Pike. The cast of the series includes Iman Benson, Igby Rigney, Ruth Codd, Annarah Cymone, Chris Sumpter, Adia, Aya Furukawa, Sauriyan Sapkota, Matt Biedel, Samantha Sloyan and Zach Gilford. The show also features Heather Langenkamp, the protagonist of the Nightmare saga and star of the horror genre in general.
Here is the official logline of The Midnight Club: “In a manor that serves as a psychiatric hospital run by a mysterious doctor, the 8 members of the Midnight Club hospitalized at Rotterdam Home meet every night at midnight to tell sinister stories and to search signs of the supernatural from beyond “. The Midnight Club is set in 1994 and will feature details that will fuel 90s nostalgia.
“I started brainstorming an adaptation of The Midnight Club as a teenager, so this is a dream come true,” Flanagan said on social media when the project was announced. The director then added: ” It is an honor to introduce the world of Christopher Pike to a new generation of young horror fans“.
This is the fourth series for Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy to arrive on Netflix. However, The Midnight Club is their first series aimed at a younger audience, as their previous works were aimed at a much more mature audience. They previously made the cycle of The Haunting, which includes Bly Manor and Hill House and debuted in the catalog in 2018, and Midnight Mass, released in 2021. Meanwhile, Mike Flanagan is also working on an adaptation of The Fall of the House. by Usher, based on the homonymous short story by Edgar Allan Poe.
