The Marvels: The Trailer Reveals a Bond with Guardians of The Galaxy
The trailer for The Marvels is finally here, and it features some major Guardians of the Galaxy connections. In the new clip, Marvel fans catch up with Carol Danvers, Monica Rambeau, and Kamala Khan. But the Kree are back to take their revenge, and they have familiar weapons. The trailer for The Marvels opens with Rambeau investigating a space jump point near the SABER space station. When she gets close, she switches to Ms. Marvel, who becomes spooked upon seeing Nick Fury in person for the first time. Hence, the popular travel mechanism from the Guardians movies gets close enough to Earth to cause some concern for the planet.
If that wasn’t interesting enough, there are new accusers on the way. Zawe Ashton has reportedly been cast as the film’s villain. She has a cane just like Ronan the Accuser in Captain Marvel and Guardians. To top it all off, Ashton’s villain also has one of Ms. Marvel’s power-amplifying bracelets. So, all strands of the MCU will be touched by this film. There are Cosmic Angles, Kamala’s strange multiverse-related powers, and SWORD (or SABER maybe?) ties to Earth. Between Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and The Marvels, fans of the cosmos are in for a treat this year.
