How Seon-Tae Died?

The first thing that comes out at the end of The Frog is what happened between Seong-A and police officer Seon-Tae. The last time the latter was seen was when he found the recording device that the former had hidden. He was chasing him in his car. Eventually, Seong-A killed Seon-Tae and left him in the field. His superior found the lifeless body of the policeman, butchered. Shortly after, the police received a signal about a fire that had broken out in the laundromat. Seong-A burned his clothes inside, apparently in revenge against the owner.

Who Kills and How Does Seong-A Die?

In the end, Seong-A dies and can no longer haunt anyone, even if she could do so in the form of a ghost. The one who kills her is Ha Jae-Sik, the father of little Si-Hyeon. Yeong-Ha believes that Seong-A deserves to die, as he feels guilty for letting her kill the boy as if he were her accomplice. Just like Sang-Jun, Gi-Ho’s father, felt all these years, letting her enter his guesthouse and thus allowing her to ruin his family.

Why Is Seong-A a Murderer?

In the end, it is explained as Seong-A having a psychotic episode. She may not have had a good relationship with her mother, which is why she became a psychopathic killer. This is evident from what she explained to Jae-Sik: she killed her son because she didn’t want to be like her mother. She wanted Jae-Sik, but Jae-Sik wanted a mother for his son. Meanwhile, the police never found Si-Hyeon’s body or any evidence that she was killed in Yeong-Ha’s cabin. Seong-A may have killed her and then used chlorine bleach to get rid of the body. In the end, Yeong-Ha is happy with her daughter and grandson and has closed the guesthouse for good.
