The Flash: Here is the First Official DC Movie Poster Starring Ezra Miller
We haven’t heard much about The Flash in recent months. We’ve heard a lot about the person playing The Flash star Ezra Miller — but not so much in the context of the film, that he’s a solo first for the speedy DC Comics superhero. The more controversy Miller generated, the more everyone wondered: What does this mean for The Flash? Well, that seems to mean nothing so far, as the film is still on track to hit theaters this summer. There is indeed new promotional material for The Flash: a poster, which shows Miller’s Flash standing under Michael Keaton’s classic Batman Batwing.
The Flash is one of the last Warner Bros. DC films made before the arrival of James Gunn and Peter Safran as co-CEOs of DC Studios. A whole new cinematic and television universe is about to begin, including new versions of Superman, Batman, and Robin. Where that leaves The Flash isn’t clear at this point. Reports have claimed that everyone from Henry Cavill to Gal Gadot to Jason Momoa has filmed scenes or cameos for The Flash. It’s still unclear if they’ll actually make the finished product or if the film could potentially continue with sequels set in this new DCU. Here’s the official synopsis for the film: ” Ezra Miller stars as Barry Allen, AKA The Flash, who pushes the limits of his superpowers in DC Superhero’s first standalone feature film.” The Flash is scheduled for release in theaters on June 16, 2023. But it has already been postponed several times.
The Story of The Flash
The Flash will hit the big screen in the United States on June 16, 2023. The film, inspired by The Flashpoint comic book published by DC Comics, sees Ezra Miller once again don the scarlet suit of the fastest man alive. In The Flash, the DC Speedster travels across the multiverses to save his mother Nora and encounters many alternate versions of himself and more. Barry Allen will have to contend with Batman who, in The Flashpoint universe, is not Bruce Wayne but is the latter’s father, Thomas Wayne. The film inspired by the DC speedster has the great responsibility of resetting the DCEU in such a way as to bring together the next stories in the nascent DCU.
The Return of Gotham’s Dark Knight
In the film by Andrés Muschietti, director of It and It 2, the return of Michael Keaton is expected, who after almost 30 years returns to wear the role of Batman. Keaton was the first Batman in the saga produced by Warner Bros: the actor played Bruce Wayne in 1989’s Batman and 1997’s Batman Returns, both directed by Tim Burton. Ben Affleck’s version of Batman will also return to The Flash.
The Trailer Will Arrive During the Super Bowl
Warner Bros. Discovery is returning to the Super Bowl in a pretty major way. A new report from The Wrap has confirmed that the studio will unveil a trailer for the upcoming The Flash movie during Super Bowl LVII, which takes place on February 12, 2023. It appears this will coincide with the release of the film’s first full trailer, which will then be shown in theaters before Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania starting February 17, 2023.
