Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2: The Vecna Actor Gave A Preview Of What Will Happen In The Netflix Series
The end of the first part of Stranger Things 4 left things pending for its conclusion and ends on July 1 when volume 2 is released and the final confrontation against the villain Vecna takes place.
After meeting the new villain in Stranger Things Season 4, the monster Vecna (named after Dungeons and Dragons), the final part of the fourth season promises to be an epic duel between Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and this antagonist in the Upside Down from the Netflix series. On what will happen in the last two episodes of season 4 after the surprise ending of volume 1, the actor behind the villain Vecna, Jamie Campbell Bower, shared that there will be a new revelation in the show.
Recall that during this first part of season 4 it is revealed that the villain Vecna is Henry Creel, the son responsible for the massacre of his entire family in his house in 1959 and that he has the same powers as Eleven, so it is Number One on Dr. Martin Brenner’s experiments in the Hawkins lab. In the end, it is revealed that Vecna is a product of the mental battle he had with Eleven just before the start of Stranger Things season 1 and that has left him locked in the Upside Down ever since. In actuality, the villain captures Nancy’s mind before she discovers her true identity, while Eleven enters Project Nina to retrieve his powers.
Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2 What Will Happen to Vecna or 001?
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, actor Jamie Campbell Bower revealed that the season 4 finale will feature the long-awaited rematch between Eleven and Henry (now Vecna).
“If you thought it was as big as it could get (volume 1), it’s not. It goes further, visually, story-wise, and emotionally for all the characters. It is quite an explosive climax, let’s put it that way. I know a lot of people have used the word explosive, transcendence, and scale, but I’m serious. It goes way beyond that and we got to know more too.”
Regarding the details that will be revealed and expanded on the history of his character, although he could not confirm if specifically, more will be delved into how his transformation occurred in the Upside Down or something else, he did say that more will be known about all the characters, and which already has some details about season 5 of the series.
Will the Mind Flayer Return at the End of Stranger Things Season 4?
With the statements of the actor Jamie Campbell Bower, it can be inferred that the new details about the Upside Down monster are how he obtained his powers from birth and what his connection is with this dimension. In the series Dustin and Lucas build on their knowledge in Dungeons and Dragons to establish that in the Upside Down the demogorgons are controlled by the Mind Flayer as their soldiers and Vecna would be their general; then this could indicate that Henry Creel was one of the first people possessed by the creature, as happened to Will in the second season.
In this way Henry Creel would have developed his powers and as a teenager murdered his family on the orders of the Mind Flayer as part of his plan to invade Earth. Another theory about the connection between these two beings from Upside Down is that Vecna is working against the Mind Flayer and after the events of season three he takes advantage of the situation to take control of this dimension, opening portals with each murder he makes and so on. Little by little, they manage to conquer Hawkins and fulfill their revenge against Eleven and Dr. Brenner. The actor behind the monster Vecna assured that there will be an explosive climax for the season finale and more things will be revealed about the characters.
