Stranger Things 4: Release Date and Posters Revealed, Season 5 Will Be The Last

The hype for Stranger Things 4 rises, just today the new official posters have been released and the news we’ve all been waiting for… the release date of the new season. Netflix has announced that season 5 will be the last of the series in a post that reveals the release date of Stranger Things 4.

Matt and Ross Duffer, creators of Stranger Things, wrote a message online to fans in which they declare: “With nine scripts, more than 800 pages, almost two years of shooting, thousands of special effects and a duration almost double than expected. The fourth season was the most challenging for us, but also the one that gave us the most satisfaction. We are all incredibly proud of the result and we can’t wait to share it with you“.

Volume 1 will arrive on Netflix on 27th May 2022 and Volume 2 will be out on 1st July, 2022!

The Synopsis

Set in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana, Stranger Things is a declaration of love for the 80s classics that have thrilled an entire generation. The series tells the story of a little boy who disappears into thin air. Her friends, family and the local police search for clues, but they are soon drawn into a mysterious plot, with top secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural powers, a very peculiar girl and a dangerous door that connects our world to a powerful but sinister kingdom. The protagonists’ friendships will be tested and their lives will change as what they discover transforms Hawkins and perhaps the world, forever.

The length has therefore prompted the authors to divide the season into two volumes: the first will debut on May 17th and the second five weeks later, from July 1st. After declaring that the new season will be “the greatest ever”, the creators of the show have confirmed that the series is coming to its end: “Seven years ago we thought the whole story arc of Stranger Things and expected it would end. With four or five seasons then we realized that four would be few, but you too will see that we are nearing the end. In fact, the fourth will be the penultimate and the fifth the last. “Fans can expect further projects, however: “There are still many engaging stories to tell related to the world of Stranger Things. New mysteries, new adventures and new unexpected heroes”.
