Steve the New Netflix Film With Cillian Murphy: Plot and Release Date of the Film
Cillian Murphy, nominated for an Oscar in 2024 for Oppenheimer, will star in Steve, a film produced for Netflix of which he will also be a producer. The actor launched his production company Big Things Films together with Alan Moloney. A new film is about to arrive on Netflix starring one of the most popular actors of the moment, Cillian Murphy, star of Peaky Blinders and Oppenheimer. Steve tells the story of a few strange hours in the life of a troubled teenager with mental health issues. This boy is running away from home for “very disturbed youth”, and walks listening to his night terrors, from his past and the heavy questions about his future. The Netflix film will not be a direct adaptation of the book but a retelling that puts the principal at the center of the story, exploring 24 hours of his life in which he tries to keep his students in line and struggles with his mental health at the same time.
This is a very important project for Cillian Murphy, which coincides with the debut of his production company. Murphy has already cut his teeth in the field of production as executive producer for three seasons of Peaky Blinders and also covering the same role for Small Things Like These. This film will open the Berlin International Film Festival, which will take place from Thursday 15 to Sunday 24 February 2024. Initially founded to produce Small Things Like These, Big Thing Films aims to collaborate with both emerging and established directors, actors, and screenwriters who have something new and exciting to bring to the world of cinema.
