The creator claimed that for him “the third season is the final of this story”, which means ending the arch Gi-hun narrative. I see the third season as the finale of this story. This is because I think I have closed the story that I wanted to tell about society through the character of Seong Gi-hun. How did they end up here? What do they do in their spare time? Something like that, perhaps.
“While working on the first season of Squid Game I said there wouldn’t be another – are the words of Hwang Dong-hyuk -. But if there were opportunities and I could create a different character or story, maybe there could be a return. But I think more of a spin-off from the series”.
Squid Game Spin-Off: Who Will It Be On?
As for the character at the center of a hypothetical spin-off of the series, the creator of Squid Game already has clear ideas. He would like to deepen the story of Front Man, the organizer of the game of Squid Game but also that of the Recruiter, the man who hires the new players of the game.
“When I have free time I would like to get to work on a story of this type and give vent to my imagination. So be open to everything. And on the third season?
