Squid Game Season 2: The Ranking of All New Games From Worst To Best!
Squid Game Season 2 is on Netflix, with old and new knowledge, 7 episodes preparing for the already confirmed third season, and new deadly games. The games in which competitors participate on the island are not so many, but they do not disappoint expectations, on the contrary. Not to mention that, before the actual challenge, the series stages some chilling games starring the Recruiter. After seeing the explanation of the ending of Squid Game Season 2, which closes with a big cliffhanger, we see the ranking of all games from worst to best. Attention: from here on follow SPOILER.
Squid Game Season 2: The Ranking of All New Games From Worst To Best!
6. Bread and Lottery: Episode 1
“Bread and Lottery”, the game that the Recruiter plays with some homeless people in a park in the first episode of Squid Game Season 2 is consistent with the tone and message of the series, but it is not the most interesting or diabolical. The Recruiter buys a large number of lottery tickets and as many loaves and submits a choice to each homeless person: take bread or try your luck with the lottery ticket. Everyone chooses the ticket and promptly loses. When the game is over, the Recruiter, as a final blow for the desperate players, throws the loaves and tramples on the ground, underlining that the choice to waste food was not his but homeless.
5. Russian Roulette: Episode 1
We all know Russian Roulette, which in the first episode sees Gi-hun and the Recruiter opposed, a decidedly lethal but not particularly imaginative game by the standards of Squid Game. However here we see an even more extreme variant. In Russian Roulette the gun is loaded with a bullet, the chamber is turned at each turn and the players must point the weapon at the head: the probability of dying is one in six. The Recruiter proposes a variant to Gi-hun: the chamber will be turned only once and the two of them will have to just pass the gun and, in turn, pull the trigger. A version that definitely increases the chances of shooting.
4. Red Light, Green Light: Episode 3
Perhaps the most iconic game of the first season of the series, which also returns in Squid Game Season 2. A version as simple as lethal as” One, two, three, star! “, where those who move when the terrifying doll finishes counting, die. The rules are the same as in the first season, but here Gi-hun has already played, knows what happens to those who get caught moving with the “Luca Rossa” and does everything to be heard by other players. At first, nobody believes him, but when the competitors who move start to be shot down by snipers, everyone changes their mind.
3. Stone, Paper, Scissors, Minus One! Episode 1
We have all played at least once in our lifetime at “stone, paper scissors” but the version of the Recruiter is as chilling as it is deadly. The Recruiter kidnaps Mr. Kim and Choi Woo-Seok, ties and gags them, and makes them play “Bag, paper, scissors, minus one!”, one diabolical combination of the classic children’s game with Russian Roulette seen just above. The two unfortunate play “Stone, paper scissors” with two hands, and when the Recruiter exclaims “Minus One!” they must take one of the two hands off. Those who lose must play Russian roulette… with 5 bullets in the room.
2. The Gathering: Episodes 5 and 6
“The Gathering” is one of the new games of Squid Game Season 2 and for the viewer, it is a tour de force of anxiety sharpened by the song that acts as a background to the game and, above all, from the psychological impact that this sadistic test has on competitors. Masks fall and sides crumble as players struggle to survive. All players are placed in the center of a spinning platform; when the platform stops it is called a number and players must meet in a group of people equivalent to that number. Once this is done, each group must run into a room and close themselves inside. Those who remain outside die, just as all those who have formed a group of the wrong number die. An evil game, emotionally trying both for the players and for us who look from the sofa.
1. Six Legs: Episodes 4 and 5
The six-legged pentathlon is the second game we see in Squid Game Season 2 but the first as regards perversion, tension, and stage yield. It’s about the best game of the new season, a group game in which players must divide into small teams of five. The five people find themselves tied to the ankles, they have to synchronize the movements to move, and they have to play five mini-games: Ddakji, Flying Stone, Gong-gi, Spinning Top, and Jegi. Each player chooses a mini-game in which he feels particularly ready and begins. The time factor is fundamental, with teams that only have 5 minutes to complete the games. Needless to say, those who do not complete the test in the set time are shot down on the spot.
