Another Christmas movie has just arrived to fill our bellies with butterflies. We are talking about Something from Tiffany’s, recently released by Amazon Prime Video and which is set in the Christmas period but does not focus on the commemorative date. In this production, we follow a romantic comedy based on a homonymous work by Melissa Hill. Directed by Daryl Wein, the feature film features actors Zoey Deutch, Kendrick Sampson, Ray Nicholson and Shay Mitchell in the main cast. They form the two couples that illustrate the story. By accident, there will be an exchange of gifts which will cause hilarious mayhem. These treats are very welcome, especially at a time of festivities and many celebrations. In the famous Tiffany jewelry store, Ethan (Kendrick Sampson) is choosing, together with his daughter Daisy (Leah Jeffries), an engagement ring to propose to his partner Vanessa (Shay Mitchell), returning from a vacation in Hawaii. At the same time, in the same shop, Gary (Ray Nicholson) is looking for an anniversary gift for his girlfriend Rachel (Zoey Deutch). Out of Tiffany’s, however, Gary is hit by a taxi and Ethan runs to help him. Meanwhile, Rachel, intent on preparing for their anniversary, receives a call from the ER that Gary has been taken to the hospital with a concussion and some memory lapses. Meanwhile, Ethan, still worried about the fate of the man he saw invested under his own eyes, decides to go to the hospital to make sure Gary is okay.
Here he meets Rachel with whom he has a chat; the woman then, to repay her interest, invites him to the bakery that he manages for a lunch offered. The same evening, the man shows up at Rachel’s business and, seeing her in difficulty due to her large clientele, decides to give her a hand behind her counter. The situation finally comes to a head on Christmas morning, when Gary gives Rachel his gift from Tiffany, which turns out to be the engagement ring bought by Ethan and exchanged during the car accident; the man, however, due to the concussion, thinks he bought it for his girlfriend. Vanessa, on the other hand, under the incredulous eyes of Ethan and Daisy, finds the pair of earrings bought by Gary in her hands.

Gary and Ethan are at the same store, Tiffany‘s, to buy Christmas gifts for their respective couples. On the way out of the store, Gary ends up careless and is hit by a taxi. Ethan, who was also on his way out, runs to his rescue. In the turmoil, he swaps his bag with Gary’s. When Christmas arrives, at the time of giving gifts, couples realize that there is an exchange. With this, Gary ends up presenting Rachel with rings and they take the opportunity to get engaged. Ethan, on the other hand, is disappointed when he presents Vanessa with earrings.
Disappointed, Ethan searches for Gary. At the same time, Ethan sees Rachel with a ring on her finger that really should have been Vanessa’s. Gary is determined not to return the ring, while Ethan continues to feel uneasy about the situation. Meanwhile, Vanessa notices that something is off about Ethan. However, when visiting the Tiffany store, Rachel discovers the truth about the ring. Gary is confronted and ends up telling him what happened. Gary confesses his love for Rachel and asks them not to drift apart. Ethan proposes to Vanessa. At the celebration dinner, a hilarious coincidence: Vanessa makes a reservation at a restaurant that is owned by Rachel.

Throughout the film, we will see that there is a climate between Rachel and Ethan. They deny this to avoid hurting their respective relationships, but both have many coincidences with each other, and this will be noticeable throughout the film. It would be a perfect couple if it weren’t for the disagreements. At the same time, Rachel and Ethan are experiencing troubled relationships. Gary and Rachel aren’t getting along with each other, while Ethan doesn’t see Vanessa the way he once did either. What happened at Tiffany ended up exposing these differences between them.
Ethan and Vanessa’s post-engagement date at Rachel’s restaurant turned out to be further proof in the midst of these disagreements. After the controversial dinner, Ethan is alerted by his daughter Daisy and ends up having to open his heart once and for all to Rachel. Rachel also feels the same for Ethan and they realize that this exchange of gifts seems to have been a warning from fate for them to realize that they were really meant for each other. Furthermore, Daisy gets along much better with Rachel than Vanessa and she is happy to see her father happy.
