Shining Vale: The Horror Comedy Series Starring Courteny Cox Has A Release Date

Shining Vale is the new horror comedy series starring Courtney Cox. Alongside the actress, we also find Greg Kinnear and Mira Sorvino. Courtney Cox thus plays Patricia “Pat” Phelps, while Greg Kinnear plays the role of her ever-optimistic husband, Terry Phelps, whose patience and self-control will be put to the test. In addition, Mira Sorvino plays Rosemary, Pat’s alter ego, with her dual personality, her muse or a demon trying to possess her.

In Shining Vale, Patricia is a rebellious ex-girlfriend who became famous for writing a novel about women’s empowerment, drenched in drugs and alcohol (also known as lady porn). Seventeen years later, Pat has become a sober but totally dissatisfied woman. She hasn’t written her second novel yet, she can’t remember the last time she had sex with her husband (Greg Kinnear), and teenagers are at the stage where they hate her parents. Pat is a faithful wife until her only mistake: a torrid affair with a young handyman, in a last-ditch effort to save the marriage, she has the family move from the city frenzy to a large, old house in the suburbs that has a dismal past. Each has their own demons, but for Pat Phelps they could be real. The series arrives on March 6, 2022 with two preview episodes only on STARZPLAY.

We follow the Phelps family into their new, ancient, spooky, suburban home, where they have moved to much chagrin from their teenage children. But Pat hears something that others don’t perceive, doors slamming, the piano playing by itself, and when he sees a woman in antique clothes hovering out the window, Pat really thinks he’s going mad. Shining Vale is produced by Other Shoe Productions’ Jeff Astrof, Merman’s Sharon Horgan and Clelia Mountford, Kapital Entertainment’s Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honord. The protagonist Courteney Cox is also the producer of the series. Jeff Astrof wrote the script for the pilot episode, based on a story by Horgan & Astrof. The series is produced by Warner Bros. Television and Lionsgate Television in association with Other Shoe Productions, Merman and Kapital Entertainment.
