She-Hulk is not in the least afraid of sinking his claws into the purest comedy, from the touch of cynicism to the most demented, because it is precisely a comedy, which however does not forget that the great exponents of the genre always manage to deliver dramatic moments to their audience well settled.

The life of Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) has irremediably changed: she was convinced that she could keep her Hulk nature under control and hidden from the world, but the attack in court by the mighty influencer Titania (Jameela Jamil) has changed his plans. And now she feels in many ways punished for doing the right thing, as she was fired for losing her case and no firm seems interested in taking the risks of employing the so-called, She-Hulk among their ranks – with a lot of change. of logos, from Attorney at Law to Attorney for Hire, small attentions that sometimes make the difference.
This is the premise of the episode, which in practice is nothing more than a hilarious existential crisis on the part of Jen, at one point even convinced that she would have done better to let go and ignore the mad deeds of Titania, it does not matter that on the whole jury would probably have died. An existential and work crisis that mostly came at the worst of times possible, with a family dinner on the way and the classic mix of pity and work exploits of relatives, some even become managers in a local supermarket. It is just an example, but which in our opinion makes the nature of She-Hulk very clear, a comedy that does not intend in any way to revolutionize the wheel, but rather to exploit the most famous scenarios of the genre with the superhero twist and what follows.
She-Hulk Episode 2 Review and Analysis
An ensemble that works excellently, certainly filled with many predictable sequences – could there ever be a scene where the parents use Jen’s powers for housework? – with a certain ease, yet no less fun for that. Jennifer as the protagonist is a perfect catalyst of the various types of humor that She-Hulk intends to propose, both the coarsest of the Hulk hangover that returns and the most subtle and elaborate, always and in any case in the canons of simplification of Marvel. In short, an excellent base to work with, on which the elements of legal drama are then grafted with exceptional lightness and naturalness, a Suits that has no plans to take itself even a little seriously if not for very brief moments – and the monologue of a certain character in the cell, between namaste and improbable haiku, is tangible proof.
So yes, we can unbalance ourselves in affirming with certainty that the series aired on Disney+ has officially landed and is among us, which can boast a formula that so far cannot fail to appear winning from many points of view precisely for its lightness and unlikely or otherwise peripheral topics within the MCU it touches. On the other hand, however, it is precisely the curious little corners that give even more life and color to a fantasy world and She-Hulk seems to understand it masterfully.
I must admit I was a little upset at how quickly episode 2 absorbed me and then left me. That’s not a bad thing, far from it, but there’s a product that could have loaded up a little more screen time that I wouldn’t complain about. Much better than certain shows that have almost 1 hour of content, and you feel like they’re dragging the max with long scenes on purpose. However, we must accept what is offered to us in a good way, right? It’s worth remembering that She-Hulk will have more episodes than the usual six-pack that the MCU works with, so for better or worse, it won’t be such a disadvantage. I’m looking forward to seeing what the lawyer’s next adventures will be and, I’m sorry to the fans, but I don’t even want to see her in the superhero position anytime soon. It will annoy me, I’m sure, to see this as prepping the character for the next Avengers, A-Force, Fantastic Four, or whatever they want to shove her into in the future.
Keeping her as a lawyer, doing her assignments as we’re seeing her and standing out for who she is would be an admirable thing for Marvel to allow. Do I believe this is what will happen? Of course, nobody is innocent here. The first episode throws an alien spaceship in front of her car and we have a little hint of what that means in this second one, so there’s a threat looming and it’s probably her who will have to solve it. I can even imagine the character’s reaction when this lands on her shoulders. As I said above, I would prefer a thousand times not to appeal to the whole heroic process and let her just transit within the MCU as an excellent figure that goes her way. It would open a lot of gaps for us to see similar productions in the future and make things a little lighter for those who have been following this whole saga for so long. Not everything has to be about aliens, the multiverse, or the like. Well, let’s see where this ends up, shall we?

In a still aura of rampant skepticism, She-Hulk continues along his path and confirms himself as one of the potentially most coherent and solid series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A product that, as we often say in these cases, knows perfectly well what to do and how to do it, a comedy that is not afraid to sink its claws and jokes at every shot or almost and that nevertheless does not forget the lesson of the great exponents of the genre. After all, the second episode is almost totally an existential crisis for Jennifer, now out of work due to her revealed identity as She-Hulk, who between a joke and an unlikely situation still manages to insert small more dramatic moments that balance the whole. An excellent base on which the elements of a “lawyer show” are then grafted. with masterful ease and naturalness, with a first course that will already put our protagonist to the test. As already said, She-Hulk has a goal in mind and knows perfectly how to get it, for now, it works even in its small being, in its portraying a small corner of the world of a mammoth MCU.
