Shazam! Fury of The Gods: Wonder Woman Cameo Announced In Shazam 2

According to Illuminerdi sources Wonder Woman will make a brief cameo in the highly anticipated Shazam! Fury of The Gods. The sequel with Zachary Levy which will be released in theaters on June 2, 2023. The choice of DC makes sense. It seems, in fact, that in the film Billy Batson/Shazam will have to face the three daughters of Atlas (one of the sources of Shazam’s powers): Hespera (Helen Mirren), Kalypso (Lucy Liu) and the character of Rachel Zegler. With all these gods around, it doesn’t seem hard to get the attention of the daughter of Zeus, the Princess of the Amazons played by Gal Gadot, Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman. Obviously, at the moment these are just rumors, so they must be taken with a grain of salt, but if so, a cameo could have a more important role linked to other sequels not yet announced.

After the funny “cameo” made by Superman in the first Shazam movieit will be interesting to see how Wonder Woman intervenes in the sequel. The latter is directed by David F. Sandberg and starring Jack Dylan Grazer (Freddy Freeman), Asher Angel (Billy Batson), Djimon Hounsou (Magician), Grace Fulton (Mary Bromfield), Faithe Herman / Meagan Good (Darla Dudley), Ian Chen / Ross Butler (Eugene), Adam Brody and DJ Cotrona. In addition, Peter Safran will produce the film through the Safran Company.

Soon we will see DC’s “Multiverse” take shape with Matt Reeves’ The Batman (March 2022),  Black Adam with Dwayne Johnson (July 2022), Andy Muschietti’s The Flash (November 2022),  Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom by James Wan (December 2022) and  Batgirl. The concept of multiverse in the DC Comics was born 60 years ago, with the introduction of Earth-2 (an alternative world to that of the classic heroes) in the Flash story of the two worlds of Gardner Fox and Carmine Infantino. Over the years, various other lands have been added to Earth-1 and Earth-2, which then merged into a single continuity in 1986. at the end of the Crisis on Infinite Earths event by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez. In 2006, with the crossover Infinite Crisis by Geoff Johns and Phil Jimenez, the concept of the multiverse then returned to the scene, with the subsequent creation of 52 worlds.
