Shantaram: Charlie Hunnam In The First Photo Of The Series, The Release Date Revealed
Shantaram is the new series with star Charlie Hunnam and the first official image and release date on Apple TV+ has been unveiled online: October 14, 2022, with the first three episodes. The first season consists of twelve episodes that will be distributed weekly every Friday until December 16. Charlie Hunnam – who became famous for his role as Jackson Teller in the Sons of Anarchy series – is ready to get back on a motorcycle.
Shantaram Series: Story
The new drama series with Charlie Hunnam is called Shantaram and is based on Gregory David Roberts’ best-seller. The project is a hopeful cinematic love story combined with a thrilling epic adventure that follows one man’s journey to redemption, through a country that changes his life. The episodes follow the adventures of a fugitive named Lin Ford (Charlie Hunnam) who tries to lose his tracks in the vibrant and chaotic Bombay of the 1980s. Alone in an unfamiliar city, Lin struggles to escape the troubles he is running away from in this new place. After falling in love with an enigmatic and intriguing woman named Karla, Lin must choose between freedom or love and the complications that come with it.
In addition to Charlie Hunnam, the series also stars Shubham Saraf, Elektra Kilbey, Fayssal Bazzi, Luke Pasqualino, Antonia Desplat, Alyy Khan, Sujaya Dasgupta, Vincent Perez, David Field, Alexander Siddig, Gabrielle Scharnitzky, Elham Ehsas, Rachel Kamath, Matthew Joseph and Shiv Palekar.
The series is co-created and written by Steve Lightfoot who is also a showrunner and executive producer. Bharat Nalluri is the director and executive producer, as well as Andrea Barron, Nicole Clemens, Steve Golin, Justin Kurzel and Eric Warren Singer, who co-created the series with Lightfoot. The series is produced for Apple by Paramount Television Studios and Anonymous Content’s AC Studios.
