Secret Invasion: Martin Freeman As Everett K. Ross
This, for Freeman, will be the fourth participation in a Marvel project as Ross after Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, currently in the works. Secret Invasion inspired by the Marvel comic book crossover, chronicles the exploits of a faction of shape shifting Skrulls who have infiltrated Earth for years. He will be led by MCU pillar Samuel L. Jackson reprising the role of Nick Fury for the twelfth time since playing the character for the first time in 2008’s Iron Man. With him we will find Ben Mendelsohn, who previously appeared in Captain Marvel, who will return as Talos, the pseudo-leader of the Skrulls.
The cast of the show also includes Emilia Clarke, Kingsley Colman, Olivia Colman, Killian Scott, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Carmen Ejogo and Christopher McDonald. Kyle Bradstreet will serve as showrunner with Jonathan Schwartz co-executive producer along with Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige. The series will arrive on Disney+ in 2022.
