Ajay Devgn, who has played the role of cop several times in Bollywood, will now be seen in a new cop avatar as he forays into the digital space with his first crime drama series ‘Rudra – The Age of Darkness‘. This series will be released on Disney + Hotstar. Its production work is in progress and will be shot in prestigious locations of Mumbai.

Rudra is not the original story but it is a Hindi remake of the British crime drama series Luther in which Idris Elba was in the lead role. Now this character will be seen playing Ajay Devgn in Rudra. This series was liked so much that its five seasons have been released. This is the reason why the audience is eagerly waiting for Rudra too. Apart from Rudra, many films of Ajay Devgn are also in the line. His Bhuj – The Pride of India is ready and can be released on Independence Day. Apart from this, he will also be seen in the field. The story of the crime series revolves around a detective and a psychopath murderer, who become friends and solve many thrilling cases together.

Rudra – The Age of Darkness is an Indian adaptation of the British psychological crime drama series Luther. Ajay Devgn is playing the character of a police officer in this series, who later turns into a psycho-criminal. The series is produced by Applause Entertainment and BBC Studios. Idris Elba played the role of DCI John Luther in Luther. Alice Morgan as Ruth Wilson. It has had five seasons between 2010 and 2019. The first season had 6 episodes. It was broadcast on BBC One.

The Hotstar special series in association with BBC Studios India will soon go into production and will be shot at a cross-iconic location in Mumbai. Now such reports are coming that this month Ajay Devgn’s Rudra – The Age of Darkness will knock on OTT. Its shooting is almost complete. Ajay’s first look from this series was revealed in April. But no announcement has been made about when its trailer will be released and when this film will entertain the audience.
