Riverdale Season 6 Episode 4 Ending Explained
In the present, Sabrina Spellman, a witch from Greendale, arrives at Thornhill and warmly greets Cheryl. We are informed that Sabrina has come to perform the transfer spell on Nana Rose and Cheryl. Abigail’s soul, present in Cheryl, has been transferred to the dying mortal body of Nana Rose. It broke Fenn’s curse of immortal loneliness, and Abigail’s soul was finally able to find peace. However, even though we see Fenn bloodied and injured, he is a wizard and therefore cannot die easily. He may be alive in another form but is no longer a threat to the Blossoms.
In addition, the soul of Nana Rose has been transferred to Cheryl’s body. Now Rose can relive her youth as she has been released from the shackles of her aged and weak body. Sabrina clarifies that even though Nana Rose’s body is dead, her soul is alive and well in her granddaughter. Abigail and Thomasina finally reunite in the afterlife after Abigail’s soul is freed by Nana Rose’s body. The two witches look forward to spending eternity together, having been separated during their mortal lives.
Sabrina confirms that Abigail and Thomasina were witches, just like Abigail’s descendants. Poppy and Cheryl are both witches as they, as Abigail’s ancestors, contain her eternal and lonely soul. In fact, Cheryl, Poppy, and Abigail are the same person, who just take on different traits at different times.
Bitsy and Poppy are clearly in love with each other. Poppy’s influence ends up giving Bitsy the courage to kill Jack. Although official reports claim that Jack mysteriously died, Cheryl informs us that some poisons do not leave a trace. Thus, Bitsy regained her freedom by getting rid of her manipulative and sexist husband, also ensuring a better future for her children. Using Poppy’s poison, she also honored her memory and her romantic love.
Is Sabrina Dead Or Alive?
When Sabrina talks about Abigail and her ancestors, she also gives us information about her own life and death situation. At the end of Season 4 of Sabrina the teenage witch sacrifices herself to bring order to the world. We then see her in the afterlife, where the dead will find peace.
However, in Riverdale, Sabrina states very clearly that there is no death for witches, only transformation. She then states that she died and then returned, implying that she is actually alive. We don’t expect witches to stay dead! Since Riverdale is sort of an alternate universe, it makes sense that Sabrina is alive and well here.
