Red Notice Ending Explained: What The Finale Reveals About Sequel and Where Is Third Egg

Let's find out what happens in the Red Notice finale and why the protagonists are in that specific city

Red Notice tells of the feat an FBI agent, John Hartley, must perform to catch two of the most wanted thieves in the world, Nolan Booth and Sarah Black aka the Standard Bearer. However, these two do not work together but are competing to find the mythical 3 Cleopatra eggs or jewels of rare beauty, which are scattered around the world.

Red Notice

In the finale of Red Notice, the audience witnesses an unexpected narrative twist and, secondly, a scene that takes place in a well-known European city. This one in particular could lead to the plot of the sequel to the film written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber.

Things during Red Notice go awry pretty quickly. There is no trust. FBI profiler partner John Hartley (Dwayne Johnson), Interpol Inspector Das ( Umbrella Academy’s Ritu Arya ) accuses (accuses The Rock, you say ?!) of stealing one of the priceless eggs decorated with Cleopatra jewelry. Hartley suspects it was the Bishop (Gal Gadot), and the only person who can help him catch him is the world’s most talented art thief – Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds).

How Does Red Notice End: Ending Explained?

The last part of the film takes place in Argentina, inside the Nazi bunker where various treasures are kept, including Cleopatra’s third egg. After the shooting in the bunker and the subsequent chase John, Nolan and Sarah find themselves on a small beach.

Here Nolan discovers why John was stubborn to hunt down the Bishop and Cleopatra’s third egg: the character played by Dwayne Johnson was never actually an FBI agent, but from the beginning he plotted with Sarah. behind Nolan in order to retrieve Cleopatra’s 3 eggs and sell them to a rich Egyptian.

Red Notice Third Egg

The moment Sarah and John kiss, Nolan realizes that he has been duped the whole time and in his mind he reviews all the key moments in the story that could have made him understand John’s double game. Yet Nolan fell into the trap as probably most of the public.

At this point, Nolan Booth is left alone handcuffed to a tree in Argentina, while John and Sarah find themselves at the wedding of the daughter of the wealthy buyer of Cleopatra’s eggs. Here the eggs are seized by Interpol but Sarah and John easily manage to escape undisturbed to Sardinia, where they live peacefully on their boat.

At one point, Nolan visits them, who had been arrested in Argentina but who – as is his custom – has managed to escape again. On the boat Nolan reveals to the “two standard bearers” that he has played a bad joke on them: the money they made from the sale of Cleopatra’s eggs has been seized by Interpol. So John and Sarah find themselves broke. Nolan then offers them the important opportunity to land a new heist that, in all likelihood, could lead to Red Notice 2. But be careful: as of November 12, 2021, the sequel has not yet been made official by Netflix.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels all of you! After Hartley, Booth, and the Bishop take a header out of a mine shaft into Hitler’s Dictator Convertible through a waterfall and into the lake below, there’s a twist. Reynolds, instead of worrying about himself, searches for Hartley, thinking he might drown. He’s touched by this but not as happy as seeing the Bishop crawl out of the water like Sandra Bullock in Gravity . Instead of stopping her, he kisses her. That’s right! Hartley and Bishop are together, and it’s been the longest rip-off.

They tie Reynolds to a tree, and he is engulfed by Daz and the rest of his incompetent Interpol staff. However, he leads them to where Cleopatra’s Eggs are given in the evening – to a Gen Z East Indian princess by a devoted father who quickly abandons them for a brave Ed Sheeran who has been hired to serenade her. As Interpol interrupts the marriage, arresting the fathers, the bride and an angry crooner, Bishop and Hartley escape.

Except that Booth has been hiding in their yacht since the day before. And he heard their sporting antics one night, he told them proudly. He let them know that he warned the inside who emptied their Grand Cayman bank accounts where their profits from the sale of Cleopatra had gone, and they are right now. He informs them that there is a score which is a three person job, and it’s worth so much more money and so much more difficult than anything any of them have ever attempted. If they don’t leave now, Das will be there anytime.

The Last Scene and The Possible Sequel

When John Hartley and Sarah Black ask Nolan Booth “what are we stealing this time?”, Ryan Reynolds says “this” pointing to his heart. The very last scene of the film shows the three thieves together in Paris and more precisely at the Louvre Museum.

Among these there should be the painting kept at the Louvre Interieur de cuisine by the painter Martin Drolling , who allegedly used the heart of Louis XIII to make the painting, and the Vue de Caen painting kept at the Pontoise museum (also in France) by Alexandre Pau de Saint-Martin which is called Vue de Caen and would have been made with the heart of Louis XIV. In fact, at that time among painters there was the custom of mixing the hearts of the deceased with oil to obtain a unique red color.

Historically, the hearts and bodies of French kings were kept separately. Hearts in particular were given to a person designated by the king himself. In the case of Louis XIII and Louis XIV their hearts were kept in the church of Saint-Paul-Saint-Louis in France until they were stolen and probably ended up in the hands of painters.filmyhype google news
