In Reacher Season 3 Episode 3, Jack continues to gain the trust of Zachary Beck, the alleged leader of the carpet business, while trying to figure out what lies behind his operation. After eliminating Angel Doll in the previous episode, Jack now has to cover up the murder and continue to collect information without raising suspicion. As Beck and his trusted man, Duke, become suspicious of Jack, he continues to investigate with the help of Agent Duffy and his team. In addition, he obtains a key revelation from Richard, Beck’s son, who confesses that the true brain behind it all is not his father, but a man named Julius McCabe. Jack, determined to dismantle the operation from within, takes an opportunity to get rid of Duke and win Beck’s right-hand position.
Almost three years after the premiere of his debut season, “Reacher” has become one of the favorite series for followers of the action genre and in turn users of Prime Video. Developed by Nick Santora, this proposal adapts the books written by Lee Child (Coventry, 1954). In the first two seasons, we learned about several aspects that characterize the personality of Jack Reacher, the character played by Alan Ritchson. Tom Cruise ever took to the movies with a rather different aura. Jack knows that Duke is a threat and that sooner or later he will discover his true identity. So comes up with a plan: He has Duffy send a fake email from Angel Doll’s account with the location of an alleged rival group, with the intention that Beck and Duke are going to investigate. When they arrive at the scene, Jack takes care of Duke to get information about Theresa, but he refuses to speak and instead warns him that McCabe is even more dangerous. Jack doesn’t take a chance and shoots him in the head. To cover his trail, he sets up a scene in which it appears that Duke died in a shootout with the rival group. He even injures himself to make the story credible and, before leaving, causes an explosion to remove any evidence. When he returns with Beck, he tells him that the rival group — was McCabe and his men — behind Richard’s kidnapping and that Duke died in the confrontation. Since Jack has already saved Richard several times and now appears to have avenged his kidnapping, Beck rewards him by giving him the Duke’s position, making him his new trusted man.
What Does Jack Discover About Beck and McCabe?
As Jack gets closer to Beck, he begins to understand that this is not the true leader of the organization. Richard tells him that years ago, Beck only sold rugs legally, but McCabe forced him to join his illegal operation because he had key connections at customs. To pressure him, McCabe even kidnaps Richard and cuts off his ear as a warning. This means that Beck is not the great villain that Jack believed, but a man caught in the McCabe network. Jack will take advantage of this information to try to turn Beck against his alleged boss and wreak havoc on the organization.
Who is Jack’s True Enemy?
Duffy and Guillermo follow up on the port where McCabe allegedly moves his merchandise and unknowingly photographs Quinn, the true villain Jack has been looking for years. However, by not acknowledging it, they think it’s McCabe. Meanwhile, elsewhere, Duffy’s team continues to monitor Beck’s driver to prevent him from escaping and alerting others.
What Does Jack’s Promotion Within the Organization Mean?
By eliminating Duke and taking his place, Jack now has direct access to Beck and McCabe’s operations. This will allow you to get to know the network from the inside and find a way to destroy it. But it also puts him in a dangerous position: if they find out who he is, they will remove him without hesitation. Jack’s next step will be to manipulate Beck into rebelling against McCabe, which could spark an internal war that will make it easier for him to end the organization and Quinn once and for all.
Has Reacher Really Killed a Police Officer?
Reacher hasn’t killed a cop in episode 1: This is a performance to convince Richard Beck to take the bum home to introduce him to his father and make him his new bodyguard. Reacher collaborates with the FBI after discovering the presence in the city of a man he knows, Quinn. Upon learning that his old enemy is involved in the disappearance of a young woman, he agrees to infiltrate the last place where they saw Teresa Daniel. However, to get his place at Zachary Beck’s house, he first needs to convince the boss that he deserves it. To do this, he uses his son Richard Beck, whom he saves from a false kidnapping attempt orchestrated by Susan Duffy. Considered Richard’s savior, Reacher manages to meet Zachary and joins his team of thugs.
Who is Julius McCabe?
Julius McCabe is Quinn: After being killed a few years ago by Reacher, this man has changed his identity and is now at the forefront of a crime empire. Julius McCabe and Quinn are actually the same person, the leader of an especially dangerous criminal organization. Zachary Beck is not, in fact, the chief boss, but is responsible for covering Quinn’s crimes, aka McCabe, through his true carpet sales company. Trucks used to transport goods are also used by Quinn to cover an extensive territory. The past that Quinn and Reacher share involves, once again, a crime committed against a woman: Sergeant Dominique Kohl, a friend of the hero, although so far not many details have been revealed. At the end of episode 3 of season 3, Reacher becomes Zachary Beck’s right arm after getting rid of Duke and the evidence that could incriminate him in Angel’s murder.
Zachary Beck offers Reacher his first job: going to kill dealers he believes are responsible for the kidnapping of his son. However, in reality, the places are empty, and Angel’s alleged mail was sent by FBI agents to mislead and cover up Reacher. Upon arrival, he threatens Duke and extracts information about Teresa, but Beck’s man refuses to speak and threatens to give him away. Reacher has no choice but to eliminate Duke and blow up the place to cover up the lack of other bodies. He then presents the stolen pistol to Angel as one of the weapons of his enemies. Zachary Beck acknowledges the object and immediately suspects that Angel has betrayed him, as have two truck drivers who have actually been killed by Reacher and Susan and hidden in a container. Believing that he had found a trusted person in Reacher and feeling betrayed by his other hand, Zachary Beck decides to make the tramp his number two, thus allowing him to move up the hierarchy … and perhaps eventually find Teresa.
Reacher Season 3 Episode 3 Conclusion
This episode marks a turning point in the story. Jack is no longer infiltrated into the organization as a simple worker; now he’s Beck’s right-hand man. Furthermore, he has identified McCabe as the true enemy behind the business, although he still does not know that his worst enemy, Quinn, is also involved. On the other hand, the tension continues to grow: Duffy and his team are getting closer to discovering the truth, but if they move their pieces wrong, they can end up dead. Meanwhile, Jack continues his mission, but he risks getting caught up in his lie. The next episode will be key to seeing how Jack uses his new position to dismantle the organization from within and, above all, if he manages to face Quinn and get out alive.
