Race to Witch Mountain Series: Will Become A Tv Series With Bryce Dallas Howard

Disney+ has revealed pilot and cast details for its upcoming television series based on the Race to Witch Mountain franchise. It has been announced by Disney+ that a pilot has been ordered for a Race to Witch Mountain series starring Tales of the Jedi and Jurassic World star Bryce Dallas Howard to star. Howard will play Audrey, a widow, and mother of Tia, who will be played by Isabel Gravitt (The Watcher). According to Disney+, “the series is a modern reinvention of the cult classic that takes place in the shadow of Witch Mountain, following two teenagers who develop strange abilities and discover their sleepy suburb may not be as idyllic as it seems.”

Joining Howard and Gravitt in Race to Witch Mountain are Pan and Kraven the Hunter star Levi Miller, We Crashed actor Bianca “b” Norwood, and Jackson Kelly, known for his roles in The Good Doctor and Straight Man. Miller plays Ben, a troubled teenager who gets paid to write articles for other students; a disturbing discovery inevitably leads him to Tia. Norwood plays Ben’s best friend Corey, and the two share similar anger issues. Kelly, meanwhile, plays Peter, Tia’s closest friend and trust who helps solve the unraveling mysteries. All of these actors will appear in Witch Mountain as series regulars.

Travis Fickett and Terry Matalas, known for their work on 12 Monkeys and Macgyver, are co-writers of the series and executive producers. Witch Mountain will be directed by director Augustine Frizzell and produced by ABC Signature, John Fox, and John Davis of Davis Entertainment.

Disney+’s s Race to Witch Mountain is based on the 1975 cult classic Escape to Witch Mountain, which centers on orphaned extraterrestrial children with otherworldly psychic powers as they flee those who would take advantage of their abilities. The original film was followed by Return From Witch Mountain (1978), and Beyond Witch Mountain (1982). Escape to Witch Mountain (1995) and Race to Witch Mountain in 2009, starring Dwayne Johnson. No production or timeline details have been confirmed by Disney+ for Witch Mountain.
