Prey: The First Extended Trailer Of The Hulu Prequel Movie Shows Us Predator: it’s Brutal!

We can finally take an official look at the first extended trailer and the poster of Prey, the Predator prequel film that will arrive on Hulu, after the leak a few days ago. A brutal trailer set during the birth of the United States as we know it. Natives and settlers collide with the brutal creature in these images.

In the first few minutes, we observe a young Comanche native (Amber Midthunder) first hunting and then being hunted by a bear. The settings and the situation could be reminiscent of The Revenant with Leonardo DiCaprio. With one small difference though the bear in question is grabbed and mangled by a titanic and invisible being. Does it remind you of anything? As anticipated by Prey’s position in the Predator timeline, the upcoming film will be set just under 300 years earlier than the original Arnold Schwarzenegger film.

Prey: The Teaser Trailer

On May 16, 20th Century Studios released the first teaser trailer for Prey or the Predator prequel film. The novelty is that the film was expected to be released in theaters but the teaser trailer denies this hypothesis, given that Prey is presented as the next release of the American streaming service Hulu.

Prey is directed by Dan Trachtenberg (former author of 10 Cloverfield Lane), written by Patrick Aison, and produced by John Davis (former producer of action films such as Jungle Cruise and The Predator) and Jhane Myers. Lawrence Gordon, Marty Ewing, James E. Thomas, John C. Thomas and Marc Toberoff are executive producers.

When Does Prey Will Release?

Prey is all set for streaming release on Hulu and Disney+ outside of the USA and is all set for the August 5, 2022 release. Although she has been raised in the shadow of the rest of the legendary hunters that roam the Great Plains, when danger threatens her camp, she will be the only one who can protect her people. Amber Midthunder (The Ice Road, Roswell, New Mexico, Legion) leads the mostly Native American cast, which also features newcomer Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kipp (Sooyii), Michelle Thrush (The Journey Home) and Julian Black Antelope (Tribal).
