Peacemaker: Who Is White Dragon And Why Would He Be Dangerous? White Dragon In The Comics?

The first season of Peacemaker has not only given us action, humor and references to characters from the DC Universe, and one of them is the alter ego that Auggie Smith, Christopher Smith’s father, adopted in an unknown period of time: White Dragon. If you remember in the fourth episode, when Christopher Smith goes to his father’s house for new helmets for his uniform, Peacemaker stumbles upon armor. This armor corresponds to that of White Dragon which his father would have used years ago. And in the jail where Auggie Smith was locked up, some white supremacists have praised him, referring to him as the White Dragon.

This villain debuted in the pages of Suicide Squad #4, where he met William Heller, a man whose childhood was marked by the murder of his parents as a result of a racial riot. Growing up with his grandfather, an ex-Nazi in World War II, made him a supremacist. With his grandfather’s fortune, William Heller became a vigilante, turning criminals of other races over to the police. But the whites to a seat of what he inaugurated as the Aryan Empire. The Suicide Squad defeated him and his group.

Years later, Heller would return to the scene, but already dressed in the White Dragon armor, debuting in Hawkworld #27. His mission was to kill the members of the Justice Society, which does not happen thanks to the intervention of Hawkman. Amanda Waller recruits him for the Suicide Squad, but White Dragon tries to challenge her authority, resulting in him getting electrocuted. White Dragon has no powers of his own, but thanks to his intellect, which is similar to that of a genius, he can make pyrokinetic weapons capable of burning anything and disintegrating it in a matter of minutes. While in the Peacemaker series it is still not clear how Auggie Smith was White Dragon, but his dangerousness could jeopardize Peacemaker’s mission, who in addition to seeking peace, seeks to settle accounts with his past.

Peacemaker features an ensemble cast headed by John Cena as Christopher Smith/Peacemaker, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, and Steve Agee as John Economos. Joining this series are Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith, Chris Conrad as Vigilante, Christopher Heyerdahl as Captain Locke, Chukwudi Iwuji as Clemson Murn, Lochlyn Munro as Larry Fitzgibbon, and Annie Chang as Sophie Song.
