Pagglait Movie Review: Sanya Malhotra’s Crazy Role Impressive in This Family Drama

How can we not cry on the death of my husband? How can the wife bear the sorrow of the separation of Humsafar. But the Pagglait is the story in which neither a tear nor a tear comes out of the wife’s eyes after the husband’s death, nor is there any pain on her face. The Story
Just five months had passed for Sandhya’s (Sanya Malhotra) marriage. In these five months, she did not even know her husband’s mortal fall properly that the mortal dies. Relatives of the family start coming to the bereaved family. Everyone is expressing condolences, but Sandhya is reading Facebook comments in her room without any effect. He also knows that 235 comments of ‘RIP’ have come. He is asked to eat pepsi and spicy chips in this hearty atmosphere. Sandhya’s mother-in-law, mother and the rest of the relatives feel that Sandhya is in shock. There is a relative among them Roshan Sethi (Raghuveer Yadav) who is heard saying in the talk ‘we are open minded, now do not keep old thoughts’. But when Sandhya’s friend Nazia Zaidi (Shruti Sharma) comes to meet her, then her face is worth seeing.
No matter what kind of mood Sandhya has in the house, she does not even know to express fake sorrow. But she is shocked when she gets a picture of Aastika’s girlfriend Akanksha (Sayani Gupta) from the middle of the official office files. To get to know this aspect of Astik’s life, Sandhya meets Aakanksha and goes to the places where Aastik used to go with her. After meeting with aspiration, he realizes that the believer was not a cheater. In such a situation, Sandhya goes home and weeps.
Here, this page of Akanksha’s mind was clear like water, but the pages of other aspects of her happiness were yet to open. One day the insurance people come and tell that in the name of Sandhya, Astik had taken a policy of 50 lakh rupees. Now relatives start filling the ears of the mother and father of the mortal. He feels how Astik wrote this in his wife’s name. How will the loan of the house be repaid on loan. On the other hand, Astik’s uncle Tarun (Rajesh Tailang) wants to open a hotel for his son Aditya (Nakula Roshan Sahadev) for whom he had spoken before his elder brother Shibu alias Shivendra Giri (Ashutosh Rana), now Sandhya’s name is 50 lakh. Seeing the money, he wants his son Aditya to marry Sandhya.
Everyone feels that by saying yes to marry Aditya, Sandhya is just thinking about herself. Evening, which is a literate woman, it is not right for her to take any decision about herself. Think people who consider themselves open-minded, be it daughter-in-law or are considering their rights as daughter’s decisions, where only and only they have the right. The 13th of Aastik comes, and then Sandhya turns the whole dice. She understands that if she does not take the decisions of her life, then someone else will take them.
Star Performances
In the film, Sanya Malhotra has played the role of Sandhya brilliantly. He is not sad, nor will crocodile tears be removed from him. Where there should be anger, the color of the face tells clearly. Where he is happy, his laughter tells it. Sanya has presented every sense of the evening very well. Ashutosh Rana, Sheeba Chadha and Sayani Gupta have also given good performances, but perhaps we have enjoyed Ashutosh’s more excellent acting. Raghubir Yadav turned out to be amazing, no one can take away his art from how to show real to the kardars.
Raghubir’s acting in every scene is wonderful. Rajesh Tailang also looked like a realist like Raghubir. Asif Ali’s work in the role of groceries in the film was also fantastic. In the midst of all this, there was a child artist whose acting also steals the eye. Sachin Chaudhary, who played the childhood of Ayushman Khurana in the film Bala, has also done a commendable job in Pagglait. In the role of a ninth class thriller boy, Sachin got a lot of fun. From dialogue delivery to the advance of the courts, Sachin is well known.
Background Score And Music
The background score of the film is excellent. Nilesh Mishra and Arijit Singh have written lyrical lyrics of the film, which have been successful in keeping pace with the story. Somewhere the feeling of a stranger with a husband, and the joy of flying his dreams somewhere, all these feelings were seen in the music of the film.
Direction
Umesh Bist has full control over Pagglait. The script of the film is like butter, on which the story runs gallop. The dialogues have deep meaning. Like – not everyone is Sachin ‘Tendulkar’ and the thing which is not with himself, the other also does not like it. Nazia, the only Muslim character in Bisht’s film, breaks popular perceptions. She is not a non-vegetarian and also puts an offering in the fire. She lives comfortably in Sandhya’s Hindu family and does not mind that she is sent out to eat and her cup of tea is different. In the film, Umesh talks on many levels and all the cases are sometimes said in a light-hearted-comic manner and sometimes seriously. This is the time for such films and only through this will our cinema progress.
Seeing this film by Umesh Bist, it would be hard to believe that earlier he directed the film O Teri (2014) and wrote Hero (2015). Pagglait is a film like Master Stroke. In which the army of experienced artists is awesome. Sanya Malhotra has emerged as a brilliant actress. After Photograph (2019), he has again played a sensitive and memorable role. They have control over their expressions. Such films predict his long innings. Umesh Bisht selected the cast accurately. That is why Ashutosh Rana, Raghuveer Yadav, Rajesh Telang, Sheeba Chadha, Shruti Yadav to Chetan Sharma were seen in their roles. Sayoni Gupta’s character and track is different from the rest of the characters and she is grounded in it. The believer is nowhere to be seen in the film, but you find him all the time from the eyes of Sandhya. The scene becomes poignant when Sandhya forgives him.

Overall, the story was fair in giving importance to the woman and her wishes in the film and focusing on her independence. Director Umesh Bisht has presented this story made in the background of Lucknow in a smooth manner. Along with the story, the cast also left no stone unturned to live in them. Apart from the story, the dialogues of the film will also have to be given credit. Because in many places only the dialogues of Raghubir Yadav have given full power to the original theme of the story. So in this journey of 13 days, the film showed 13 types of emotions well.
