Outer Range: Release Date and Star Cast What We Know About The New Amazon Series With Josh Brolin

Josh Brolin and Imogen Poots (Green Room) are among the protagonists of Outer Range, the new TV series next to its debut on Amazon Prime Video. Created by Brian Watkins, the series tends to combine two very different genres such as the western and the supernatural in the heart of the United States. Outer Range, in fact, stars Royal Abbott (Josh Brolin), in the role of a farmer fighting for his land and his family, who discovers a deep mystery on the edge of the wild lands of Wyoming.

Outer Range: The Plot

At the beginning of the series (which consists of 8 episodes lasting about an hour each), we meet the Abbotts struggling with the disappearance of their daughter-in-law Rebecca. The family is pushed further to the brink when the Tillersons (owners of the nearby ranch driven by the sole desire to make money) attempt to take over their land.

An untimely death in the community, however, sets off a whole chain of events fraught with tension. Problems apparently related to the soil of a small town explode with the appearance of a mysterious and dark chasm in the Abbott’s western pasture. As Royal fights to protect his family, increasingly insane findings emerge. Through the eyes of the breeder, viewers will understand how the past is a harbinger of disturbing secrets that have been hidden for too long, as well as dark omens ready to devastate the present.
