The 94th Academy Awards took place tonight at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles and was hosted by Regina Hall, Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes. Among the works capable of collecting more awards at the 2022 Oscars, Dune, the colossal by Denis Villeneuve, must certainly be mentioned, who managed to pull up 6 Oscars even of a certain weight, including Photography and Editing. Another huge success is that of Coda – The signs of the heart, which broke all the categories in which it was nominated, especially that of Best Film.
The Power Of The Dog, which started with 12 nominations, returns home with “only” the one for Best Director for Jane Campion, who enters the history of the Academy with the second nomination in the category. West Side Story takes home the Oscar for the Supporting Actress thanks to Ariana DeBose. Alas, zero prizes for Italy: Paolo Sorrentino with It was the hand of God, Massimo Cantini Parrini for Cyrano’s costumes and, finally, Enrico Casarosa with his Luca, were unfortunately overtaken by their competitors.
