Oppenheimer: First Photos From The Set of Christopher Nolan Is Out With Emily Blunt

Oppenheimer is currently filming and unpublished photos featuring Emily Blunt arrive from the set. Apparently shooting is taking place these days on a scene starring Matt Damon, Cillian Murphy and the star of the Mary Poppins sequel. In a new photo from the set shared by Nicholas Thompson on Twitter, Blunt can first be seen in costume during what appears to be a recreation of the ceremony where Oppenheimer receives the Army-Navy “E” award. The image sees the actress to the left of Murphy and Damon as crew members get busy between takes. Although in the background and partly obscured by the set, we clearly see clothing appropriate to the historical era. Below are the photos:

The shots are linked to the same moment the photos that revealed Matt Damon’s look appeared. Emily Blunt is busy on set with the role of Katherine “Kitty” Oppenheimer who will then participate in an event with General Leslie Groves Jr, head of the Manhattan Project, and her scientist husband, portrayed during an awards ceremony. Filming began in early 2022. Shot in IMAX 65mm and 65mm film. The crew will consist of Hoyte Van Hoytema (Tenet, Dunkirk, Interstellar) on photography, Jennifer Lame (Tenet) on editing and Ludwig Goransson (Tenet) on music.

This will be Christopher Nolan ‘s first film after the farewell to Warner Bros, resulting from the company’s policy of showing the films produced in cinemas and, simultaneously, in streaming. For this reason, one of the most difficult details of the deal with Universal was that of cinematic exclusivity. The director was aiming for 120 days of stay in the theater, while the studios would have wanted 90 days. A compromise appears to have been reached 100 days.
