The closing of the first season of One Piece on Netflix leaves many loose ends, with puzzles to solve, episodes to adapt, and oceans that Monkey D. Luffy has yet to cross. Following the pattern of the acclaimed anime and manga series created by Eiichiro Oda, the first season of One Piece took us through several story arcs that introduced us to the first five members of the Straw Hat Pirates in the version live-action. After an initial skirmish between the Straw Hats and Garp, the crew arrives at Baratie, a floating restaurant where they meet the skilled cook Sanji and especially his powerful kicks. There Zoro collides with Dracul Mihawk, one of the members of the Fleet of Seven or pirates with whom the Navy has made a truce, being seriously injured. However, the real threat is Arlong and his fishman pirates. How did he know that Luffy and he had the map to the Grand Line? With Zoro convalescent, Luffy will have to make his first real choice as captain and save his crew.

Who is the Man Who Appears in the Last Scene?
At the end of episode 8, there is a scene where they show a room full of smoke and a mysterious man with his back turned. The character was looking at Luffy’s reward poster and smoking two cigars at the same time, which confirms who it is: Smoker, the White Hunter. He is a Navy vice admiral who, for a time, led the Loguetown base as a captain. The special thing about him is that he is a user of the Smoke Smoke Fruit fruit, which gives him the ability to convert his body into the said compound. During the first season of One Piece, Garp goes after Luffy, but mostly to test him before his next adventure. And instead of individual chapters, this time we will have a longer plot with them, ending with the appearance of a new Lord of the War of the Sea. Although Netflix has not said anything yet, the first season leaves us with very clear clues about what is coming.
What Does Nami’s New Tattoo Mean?
In the first season of One Piece, we see that Nami messes with the Arlong Pirates and even tattoos their logo on her arm. Where are the Nakamas Headed at the End of The Season?
Captain Smoker enters the scene, and everything indicates that the second season of One Piece will start in Loguetown. But, beware! In the finale of the first season, we see Going Merry Heading towards the Grand Line. Nami gets a little confused because his map shows a river going up a mountain, could that be it? Well, yes, here comes the famous Reverse Mountain. Although Nami thinks the map is wrong, that mountain will be a highlight in the next season. And hey, we won’t be in East Blue anymore, it’s all about the Grand Line now. Now, in the Netflix version, which is a bit more intense, we might think that Arlong didn’t count it. But who knows? What is certain is that we won’t see him in season 2. There are a lot of new bad guys waiting their turn and since he doesn’t return in the comics, it seems that Arlong is already in One Piece‘s past.
The Future of Buggy and Alvida Next Season?
The end of the first season of One Piece shows us how everyone reacts to Luffy’s new “wanted” poster. And yes, there’s Buggy the Clown, scowling, after hanging out with the Straw Hat boys for a bit. Next to him, we see Alvida, who in case you don’t remember, is the one that Luffy sent into the water in the first chapter. Everything seems to indicate that these two are going to team up in season 2. If you have seen the anime or read the manga, you already know that they get together in the Loguetown arc alongside Captain Smoker. And be careful, because Buggy is not a guy who goes away easily. The guy continues to appear even in the most recent chapters of the manga, and Alvida is still by his side, although a little in the background. Now, will we see this in the Netflix version? We don’t know, but with that season finale, anything is possible.
Does One Piece Netflix Have a Post-Credits Scene?
There isn’t a real post-credits scene in One Piece on Netflix but a series of scenes starring different characters that suggest that the series could have a second Season 2. The first stars are Luffy and Koby. In fact, the young sailor gives Luffy his first wanted poster with his first bounty which amounts to 30 thousand berries. Luffy inherits the same size as Arlong after defeating him. The second, and perhaps the most important, is the one that sees the manifesto reach the hands of a mysterious individual who smokes two cigars at a time and uses one to burn it. This is Smoker, another Navy vice admiral who hates pirates. His peculiarity, in addition to the double cigar, is that of having ingested the Rogia-type Fum Fum Devil Fruit, which allows him to transform his body into smoke and control and manipulate its density.
There are three more scenes. The one where the Straw Hats have already set sail but when it comes to setting a course, Nami seems to be confused by the presence of what appears to be a river that appears to be flowing up a mountain. This is the Reverse Mountain or the mountain at the point where the four seas meet and is one of the two known entrances to the Rotta Maggiore. The one in which Dracul Mihawk visits a dazed Shanks to inform him that his protégé, Monkey D. Luffy, is a full-fledged pirate with a bounty on his head. This is an encounter that is not present in either the original anime or manga. Finally, the one that sees Buggy swear revenge on Luffy’s poster and finds an unexpected ally in Alvida, the first captain defeated by Luffy. This is an alliance also present in the original manga and anime and an important clue about the possible Season 2 of One Piece on Netflix.
Will There Be a One Piece Netflix Season 2?
There is currently no news on a renewal of One Piece Netflix for Season 2, however, the showrunner and screenwriters have scattered several clues in order to resume the narrative. The presence of Smoker, the alliance between Alvida and Buggy, and the defeat of Mr. Seven by Zoro in one of the sequences in the analyses suggest that, if One Piece Netflix were renewed, it could adapt to the Baroque Works Saga. The saga sees the Straw Hat Crew face the homonymous organization led by the dangerous Crocodile and rescue Nefertari Bibi, princess of Alabasta. In this saga, some fundamental characters are also introduced such as Tony Tony Chopper, Nico Robin, and Portgas D. Ace. The saga covers Volumes 13-34 (Chapters 101-217) of the manga and anime episodes 61-130. It would therefore be a longer narrative arc to manage and adapt.
