New Netflix Releases: Series And Movies Coming From 20 to 26 September 2021
The new Netflix releases will keep you glued to the screen starting with the horror miniseries Midnight Mass. Created by Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House), the series is set on the island of Crockett, a gloomy and disconsolate place where the inhabitants live in constant situations of conflict. The atmosphere becomes even more disturbing when the charming Father Paul arrives on the island, arousing a growing and strange religious fervor around him.
On September 24, the docuseries in six episodes Vendetta – Guerra nell’antimafia, centered on the story of the journalist Pino Maniaci and the magistrate Silvana Saguto, also debuts on Netflix. The latter jumped to the headlines for the regional television investigations of Maniaci and for the national ones conducted by the television program Le Iene.
The Spanish Jaguar series starring Blanca Suarez (The girls at the switchboard) is also highly anticipated. The story centers on a Holocaust survivor intent on hunting down Nazi hierarchs, who took refuge in Spain and responsible for the deaths of her brother and father. The woman has taken on the code name of Jaguar and acts with the support of an entire organization, committed to taking revenge on Nazi criminals.
Among the new Netflix releases in the cinema section, however, we point out Intrusion. It is a thriller with actors Freida Pinto and Logan Marshall-Green as a couple. The two have just moved into their dream home when someone raids the house traumatizing the young woman. Also worth seeing is The Starling’s Nest with Melissa McCarthy, Chris O’Dowd and Kevin Kline. The film revolves around a couple torn by grief over the loss of their child. Melissa McCarthy plays Lilly, a strong and brave woman who tries to fight to get her life back with the help of a bizarre therapist.
