Narcos Mexico Season 3 Ending Explained
At the end of Narcos Mexico Season 3, Chapo and Mayo plan to take control of Juarez and challenge the AFO for control of the drug trade in Mexico. They are preparing for the great escape that you always see on the news. Amado died during the operation and it was reported that the body mysteriously disappeared a few days later and the surgeons eventually died. Walt was last seen undercover in a restaurant. It looks like it’s cold outside, so maybe he was in Chicago with Dani after all. Roman is dead and represents more than 40 journalists killed in the 90s in Mexico, which is still a problem today. Finally, Vincent is shot by his partner who never gave him the opportunity to explain why he worked for the DEA.
In the scene in the middle of the credits, Marta walks from the Chilean beach to the villa Amado gave her. Two glasses of wine are placed on a piano, as well as the small plane that belonged to Amado’s daughter. The implication here is that Amado is alive, and that he has reunited with Marta.
Earlier, it is strongly suggested that he is the one making the anonymous call to inform the authorities of his whereabouts. When they arrive, they learn that Amado has died from complications related to the operation. Mexican federal agents confirm his identity, and Amado’s body then goes missing.
Some time later, the two doctors who were supposed to have operated on him are found dead, and everyone, including Walt and Jaime, comes to think of it as an act of revenge. In fact, it was probably done to cover Amado’s footsteps. Once again, he succeeds in doing something that hardly anyone before him has accomplished: he comes out alive and free.
Is Victor Dead?
Victor eventually finds the serial killer and kills him. After that, he feels like a weight has been taken off him. He returns to his wife, happy to have accomplished something. Victor realizes that even if he succeeded in eliminating a killer from the streets of Juárez, the situation for women will not be improved.
Andrea’s voiceover reveals that even today, women continue to disappear and die in Juárez, and that no administration has been able to do anything. Yes, Victor is dead. In order to have a DNA test carried out on a sample probably belonging to the serial killer, Victor becomes an informant for the DEA. It is thanks to his tenacity and his detective work that he finds the trail of the killer.
But at this point, the cartel realizes that Victor is the informant and sends Rogelio to kill him. Although Rogelio has remorse for the turn of events, he pulls the trigger anyway, killing his partner and longtime friend.
