Screening remake stories is not an easy task. To the acting hero, to the screenwriting director, it’s like a sword. It is not an easy task to remake the story without spoiling the source and make Shabash appear by everyone. However, Victory Venkatesh, who was careful not to make comparisons despite the remakes, has now come up as Narappa (Asuran in Tamil). Narappa was released today (July 20) on Amazon Prime. But let’s take a look at the extent to which Venky Narappa was impressed.

Narappa Review

Narappa Review: The Story

Narappa (Venkatesh) lives comfortably with his wife Sundaramma (Priyamani) on a three-acre farm in a village in Anantapur district. He has three children, Munikanna (Karthik Ratnam), Sinnabba (Rakhi) and Bujjamma (Chitra). The big fruit of the village is Swami (Naren). He takes all the poor lands in Ulu for his younger brother Dora swamy (Deepak Shetty). But Narappa does not give up his three types of land. It is in this matter that Pandu Swami fights with his men more than Muni and insults Panduswamy. With this Munikannan is brutally murdered. Sinnabba kills Panduswamy in revenge for killing Anna. With this, the Panduswamy family members want to end the Narappa family. What did Narappa do then? How did he protect his family? What were the circumstances that confronted him in this order? If you want to know, you have to watch a movie!

Many stories have hit the silver screen in the wake of the struggle between the rich and the poor, the strong and the weak. If the weak turn, no matter how strong the soil must be. ‘If there is land, it will be taken away. If there is money, it will be taken away. But no one can take education ‘, explaining the need for education,’ Periodical ‘action drama’ Asuran ‘in Tamil was very entertaining. Venkatesh succeeds in making the same story as Srikanth Addala ‘Narappa’ in a pivotal role. The way the scenes are styled is good while continuing the emotions in the matrix in Telugu as well.

The director, who started the film with scenes of Narappa’s family escaping from the police and bullies, tried to soften the story. The conflict between the Panduswamy and Narappa families, with Panduswamy being slapped and abused, progresses slowly throughout the first half. The story picks up speed whenever Munika is killed. The emotional scenes that come in that order bring the audience to tears. Narappa’s attempts to save his young son seem thrilling as the audience imagines what will happen next. The action‌ scenes that come in the break scenes are the highlight of the movie‌.

Review and Analysis

However, the movie Asuran may not seem new to those who have seen it till now. But those who see Narappa directly are shocked. The tears were gushing with high voltage action sequences. No changes appear to have been made to the background score. Looks like the one in Tamil is used here. That’s why Kabolu. Thanks to Jeevi Prakash, the music director in the titles. The songs provided by Manisharma are good. Shyam K Naidu’s cinematography has faded. Marthand K Venkatesh editing is also good. All this brings Narappa closer to the Telugu audience. Those who see Narappa directly without seeing the monster will be subjected to a newer experience.

This story written to create social consciousness and to show the inequalities in the society moves everyone. Srikanth Addala’s words are also thought provoking. As mentioned in the trailer. If there is money, land is taken but education cannot be taken from us. The origin of the film is hidden in this single word. Thus the life in this story is screened as if it were unstoppable.

While remaking blockbuster movies that impress audiences in other languages, their makers often see the original as an agitated follow-up. Fighting adventures in this regard, even if the comments seem to come as ‘Xerox copy’. Anyone who has seen the movie ‘Asuran’ does not think that there should be any changes in the remake. Such a strong story, Emotions, Turns, what is the need to change the film with a big message? So even if it is taken as it is, the crucial thing is to what extent the impact shown by the original was brought here. But ‘Narappa’ was only half as successful in this regard. Frame to frame down. It failed to make a strong impression on the audience as a matrix. The strength of the original in terms of the story. The flashback episode in particular became a weakness for ‘Narappa’. Although it lived up to expectations until the first half. it did not make such a strong impression on the audience at the end.

The first half was definitely a big strength for ‘Narappa’. We see all the key twists in the story in the first half. The scenes associated with the character of Karthik Ratnam have a strong impact on the audience. The scene that ends that character is tear-jerking. The audience has sympathy for the family of the hero. The scenes that come in the first 40 minutes make the heart heavy. There is also the suspense of what happens next. For a son who thinks his father is an incompetent. The action scene that shows another aspect of that father is highlighted for ‘Narappa’. Until then, Venky had cultivated sentiment with his character. He also impressed in the interval episode which shows his heroism. Dhanush worked very hard in the matrix and tried to impress in the role of a middle-aged man. The twists and turns in terms of the story. the scenes that provoke interest. ‘Narappa’ keeps the audience interested till half as well as there is no shortage of strong emotions in the first half.

Narappa Review: Performances

Venkatesh performed wonderfully as Narappa. Venkatesh’s performance as a drunken father without anger and manhood is wonderful. Venkatesh also sheds tears when his son says that it would have been better if Nu had died instead of Anna and mocked his son as if he had done nothing. Thus Venkatesh Vishwaroopam appears in every single scene. Venkatesh divides every scene like action and emotional. Priyamani played the role of Sundaramma wonderfully. Karthik Ratnam as Muni Khanna, Rakhi as Sinnabba, Rajiv Kanakala as Basavayya, Rao Ramesh as Lawyer Varadaraju and Nazar as Sankarayya have all done well in their roles.

Narappa Review Venkatesh

Narappa Venkatesh is a one-man show. His acting in two different roles is impressive. His seniority as an actor is especially evident in the emotional‌ scenes. It should be said that Venkimama was added in the action scenes. Priyamani, Karthik Ratnam, Rajiv Kanakala, Rao Ramesh etc. acted according to their range of roles. Karthik Ratnam in particular is a character who turns the story around, albeit briefly. Technically the film is superior. The main strength of this film is the music of Manisharma. The songs are okay. Come and go in the storyline. However, the background music provided by Manisharma in elevating the action scenes took the scenes to another level. If you watch the theme of ‘Ra Ra Narakara. Narakara’ in the theater, you will have to wait a long time.

Narappa Review: Direction and Music

The director took a bit longer to tell Narappa the past in the second half. The matrix ‘monster’ was followed as usual. The scenes and background that come up when Narappa is a teenager have already been seen in a lot of movies. Not all are that big of an impression. However, as a young man, Venkatesh’s appearance on screen as a father of three children is impressive. There is no strong emotion in the scenes where Narappa insults his niece. However, the action scenes in the flashback and climax are entertaining. Those who have already seen ‘Asuran’ will not see any major changes in ‘Narappa’. With this, knowing the whole story in advance is a bit of a minus for this film.

The background music for ‘Narappa’ is well composed. Along with the ‘Narappa’ theme music .. the heartfelt RR that comes in the sentimental scenes are impressive. So both are taken from the original. Manisharma seems to have followed the matrix in most of the background music. The two existing songs feel okay. But the film did not do much good. Kenayudu Sam’s was the cinematographer. Visuals .. Camera angles are very much reminiscent of the matrix. There is no deficit in construction values. The film was screened to meet the standards of both production companies. Director Srikanth Addala’s ‘Asuran’ has done nothing special except take down the scene to scene. frame to frame. However it did not make an impact at the matrix level because of the lack of naturalness in the second half. Flashback Week in the original. Due to the neglect of things like the hero character portrayal look, its impact in Telugu has further diminished. Sample emotion in the matrix could not be carried here. Srikanth dealt well till the first half but. overall disappointed.

Narappa Review: The Last Words

Well overall if you already watched ‘Asuran’ this definitely identical and no more changes in the story. The plus point of the film only the cinematography and action sequences. All actors perfect in their roles and impressed well.
