But the director of films like D-Day and Batla House, in his story of 26/11, has shown the courage, valor and sacrifice of the often-overlooked medical soldiers. In this attack, terrorists from Pakistan also targeted Cama Hospital in South Mumbai, but they were foiled by the brave policemen. The main event of Mumbai Diaries 26/11, an eight-episode web series released on Amazon Prime, turns around in the closed doors of Bombay General Hospital. People come here because of all the poor and helpless conditions, but there is no facilities in this government hospital. What should the doctor do? At the center of the story is the first day of Dr. Kaushik Oberoi (Mohit Raina) and three junior doctors (Natasha Bharadwaj, Mrinmayi Deshpande, Satyajit Dubey) who came for training under his guidance.

There is a whirlwind in Dr. Oberoi’s personal life as his wife Ananya (Tina Desai) is pregnant but the relationship between the two is very bad. The conversation is closed. Ananya is in the senior staff of the five-star Palace Hotel in South Mumbai. Two terrorists are entering here and creating havoc. Apart from these, there are some other prominent characters in the story, in which TV reporter Manasi (Shreya Dhanwantri) is the most notable. Shreya played the role of journalist Sucheta Dalal in last year’s most popular web series Scam 1992. Here too he is the most prominent media figure in the crowd.

For Dr. Oberoi, when things are not going well in the hospital as well as in life and he wants to get rid of the trainee juniors, only then a crowd of people injured by bullets starts gathering at Bombay General Hospital. TV news suggests that there may have been a gang war in South Bombay but soon the reality comes to the fore. This is a terrorist attack. The wounded Anti-Terrorist Squad Chief and two captured terrorists are also brought to the hospital. In which one terrorist is badly injured. The difficulty in front of the doctor is which of the two should attend first, who should be saved. But the bigger question is that the hospital does not have proper medical facilities, what can be done. The difficulty increases when the news inside the hospital comes in the media. Handler, watching Indian TV news channel sitting in Pakistan, asks two terrorists to attack the hospital. Terrorists enter inside and after this, heart-wrenching scenes emerge. You find that terrorists have dangerous rifles and grenades, and our police have old guns and pistols. Here the bloodshed increases moment by moment.

Mumbai Diaries 26/11 Review: The Review

There are many things in ‘Mumbai Diary 26/11’, which makes this series very special. For example, what to do if medical equipment is not working, if it is out of order, what is the need for police investigation in case of emergency, what is wrong with it? How to save a person even in bad situations… etc. In addition, the competition for blind coverage of the media in the web series has also been shown, which can lead to large-scale damage. Although many minor issues have been carefully addressed, the length of the series sometimes seems to break its pace. Apart from this, the writers and director have also killed in the early hours. The wife who came after the death of the ATS chief slaps the doctor. On treating the terrorist, an inspector points a pistol at the doctor’s forehead. The terrorists who entered the hospital manage to rescue their partner from the police.

These and other such things are what remind you every now and then that you are dealing with drama, not reality. The director made sure that balance was maintained throughout the course of the attack. He explains that on one side there is terror and destruction and on the other side there is brotherhood, cooperation and sacrifice. He focuses on the Hindu-Muslim issue because this incident also created a crisis of trust in each other. The dramatization of the characters in Mumbai Diaries 26/11 takes it away from the truth at times but there is no doubt that the scenes in Hamal are shot well. They create effect. The action sequences are thrilling. The series is not focused on any one actors and everyone has played their roles in a serious manner. This series of Mumbai attack is a dark thriller. Mohit Raina has done a tremendous job in the role of Doctor, while other actors have also done justice to their respective characters. However, the direction of Nikhil Advani and Nikhil Gonsalves seems to have eased a bit. There are many such scenes in the series, which could have been improved by the director.
