Mrs. American Pie: Kaia Gerber Alongside Kristen Wiig in The Apple TV+ Series

Mrs. American Pie: Jordan Bridges, Kaia Gerber, Jason Canela, Mindy Cohn, Julia Duffy, and Claudia Ferri have joined the cast of the new Apple TV+ comedy, Mrs. American Pie. Written by Abe Sylvia and directed by Tate Taylor, Mrs. American Pie is a story about a group of wonderfully impossible people. Set in the early 1970s, it follows the story of Maxine Simmons (Kristen Wiig) and her attempt to secure her place at America’s most exclusive table: high society in Palm Beach. As Maxine attempts to cross the line between the haves and the haves, the series asks the same questions that baffle us today: Who sits at the table? How do you join the elite? What are you willing to do?

According to Deadline, in Mrs. American Pie, Jordan Bridges will play Perry Donahue, a businessman and former schoolmate of Douglas (played by Josh Lucas). Kaia Gerber is Mitzi, a local beautician; Julia Duffy plays Mary Jones Davidsoul, an old Palm Beach high society member; Jason Canela plays Eddie, a professional tennis player from a Palm Beach club. Finally, Mindy Cohn is Ann, editor of a column, while Claudia Ferri is Raquel.

The cast of the 10-episode Apple TV+ series also includes Laura Dern, Carol Burnett, Ricky Martin, Amber Chardae Robinson, Allison Janney, and Leslie Bibb. Mrs. American Pie is developed by Laura Dern and her production partner, Jayme Lemons, via Jaywalker Pictures. Tate Taylor will direct and executive produce the show alongside John Norris.
