Mr. Corman Season 1 Ending Explanation

Josh is finishing the track he’s been doing since the start of the season. Since leaving the band, this is apparently his most significant attempt to get back to music. In each episode, he creates part of the track, and using the overdubbing technique, he adds to the whole thing. During the Zoom date with Emily, Josh tells her that the song is almost done, but that he is waiting to record the drums part because it is the most delicate thing to record in a room and that he does not want use fake battery.

Josh will later visit a music studio to record the drums. Scenes from the previous nine episodes and the finale are replayed with Josh’s track playing in the background. It is no longer a concept but the finished product of his creativity and his musical sense. After all this time away from music, Josh finally managed to get back to it. The first season ends leaving options open for this couple. Josh reaches out to Emily but only manages to leave a voicemail message. While not perfect, it looks like a good start and has the potential to develop further.

Josh still suffers from anxiety issues. It’s not going to go away overnight, and Josh will continue to have his good days, his bad days, and everything in between. At least for now, one of the seemingly root causes of his anxiety has been addressed. Josh started to make music again. He also seems ready to take the initiative and accept his flaws. This is a step in the right direction, as the previous Josh would have closed in on himself after what happened with Emily.
