Money Heist Season 5: Who Dies In The Series Ending? What Happened To The Characters?
Money Heist Season 5 finally premiered the second part of its fifth and final season forever closing the story of the team of robbers that debuted on the screen in 2017. After five years on the air the Netflix drama that kept its followers captive with its stories of action, romance and emotion, culminated with a shocking chapter this Friday, December 3. The fiction tells the story of a group of robbers who decide to enter the National Currency and Stamp Factory led by “The Professor”, however, as time goes by, things change and the gang is faced with powerful enemies.
During the transmission the series had moments of drama, action and a lot of emotion, that is why fiction followers could not wait to see how this compelling story would culminate, considering that the characters had been locked up in the Bank of Spain for more than 100 hours and they have suffered significant casualties. In the first part of the last season an unexpected death also occurred. Tokio, the character of Úrsula Corberó was shot dead at the hands of Gandía.
What Characters Died In The Ending Of Money Heist 5?
The last episode focuses on The Professor (Álvaro Morte) and how he has planned everything from the beginning. The series in the final season showed flashbacks of the original plan devised by Berlin (Pedro Alonso) and Palermo (Martín Barroti) and when the professor joined them. The group inside the bank continues to be defeated, after the loss of Tokyo, added to that of Nairobi. While Colonel Tamayo continues to press to disarm the group and pressures the professor to deliver the gold.
The professor tells Tamayo that they both win or they both lose. The professor later reveals that he doesn’t know where the gold is, nor does the band. After the chaos Tamayo finally sits down with the professor for a negotiation. However, Tamayo doesn’t want to play any games; threatens to execute members of his robbery team. The teacher tells him again that both win or both lose. Tamayo confronts the press and assures that they have intercepted the gold from the trucks, offering confidence and transparency.
Trucks loaded with gold turn up and the news reports that the debt crisis is under control. The professor tells Lisbon that this is part of the plan. The gold in the back of the truck is revealed to be bronze, an exchange, gold for fake gold. Tamayo, furious when he learns the truth, orders the killing of the team that executes the robbers, but the professor tells Tamayo that the economic crisis is over.
Tamayo gives a press release to the public that the robbery is over. He announces that Bogotá, Rio, Manila, Pamplona, Helsinki, Stockholm, Palermo, Lisbon and The Professor were shot dead after resisting arrest. Body bags are seen coming out of the bank and the crowd is crying. He also announces that Denver will be placed under witness protection until the investigation is over.
However, it was all a plan by the Professor and Tamayo, and the viewers watch as the body bags begin to open. They are all alive. The episode progresses 24 hours later. The robbery team receives new passports. Denver shows up and has reunited with Stockholm.
The teacher admits very excited that not everything turned out as they wanted because not everyone is here, but they all got something out of it. The rest of the robbery team forms a circle and embraces. Sierra appears and hugs the professor before shaking Lisbon’s hand. Sierra asks the professor for his new passport.
As Sierra walks away, the professor asks where the gold is; she tells him that she is already in Portugal, in a small treasure. The scene flies towards a truck that is transporting the house that Tatiana and Rafael built. The series ends with all the members of the heist with a new life, and they no longer have to rob a bank anymore. Everyone gets on a helicopter and celebrates, thus concluding the series.
