Mayfair Witches: Gets First Preview at NYCC, Here Is First Look Images and Release Date

Anne Rice’s next work to hit the screens will be Mayfair Witches, which is scheduled to arrive in January 2023 on the AMC+ platform. To celebrate the announcement of the official date, an unprecedented trailer was released showing what to expect from this sinister universe created by the writer. The first two episodes will air on January 5, with the rest being released each week thereafter. In the cast are Alexandra Daddario, Harry Hamlin, Annabeth Gish and Jack Huston, with the other members being released later by the American service.

The Mayfair Witches Universe

It is worth remembering that the book on which Mayfair Witches is based is part of the universe created in “Interview with the Vampire”. Lestat’s plot with several others is part of a shared history that brings together several works by Anne Rice. Whether this will somehow intertwine on TV has yet to be determined, but chances are high that we’ll see something like this.

Judging by the trailer, the series is foreshadowed as a spooky story about a haunted house, with Alexandra Daddario slowly making her way as a witch while rejecting Lasher’s advances. The trailer was shown during the New York Comic-Con panel dedicated to the show in the presence of Alexandra Daddario, Jack Huston, Chirisa, Hamlin and the showrunners of the series Esta Spalding and Michelle Ashford. Written and produced by showrunners Esta Spalding and Michelle Ashford, Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches is the second series based on the works of Anne Rice after Interview with the Vampire.
