Manifest Season 4 Part 2 Ending Explained: What Happens to Angelina? Which Flight 828 Passengers Survives the Death Date?
One of the hottest series of today, Manifest Season 4 Part 2 has finally been made available by Netflix. Manifest, it is worth remembering, has as its main theme an intriguing twist that happens in the very first episode, when a flight that was supposed to land in 2013 disappears and reappears in 2018. The rest of the world moves on, but the 191 passengers do not age a single day which, for them, represents a turbulence of minutes, but for the rest of the world, of years. Now, in season four, it’s been five years since the plane that started the show landed in New York. Its passengers, led by Ben, Michaela, and Saanvi, are finally forced to face the date of their deaths. They lost the people closest to them, which included Grace and Zeke, who was villainized, imprisoned, and followed their divine callings. As the series has already taught, the passengers will be judged together by Divine Consciousness and are quite unsure if they have done enough to survive the test.
The presence of Cal and his sapphire changed things, but with Angelina and many other passengers constantly committing horrible acts there is a fear that the scales could tip towards that negative side. Finally, the long-awaited end of Manifest came to the screen, where it revealed what happened to the passengers of flight 818 after the “death date ” had expired and what happened to the most important love triangle of the series. Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) is one of the fan-favorite characters, for this reason, many of the fans wondered what would happen to the survivor in the last chapters, especially after losing her husband Zeke, who sacrificed himself to save her. Cal is in the finale of the first volume of the fourth season. After the trailer for the second half showed Michaela getting closer to her ex-fiancé Jared again, hints pointed to a possible reconciliation between the couple who were together before the plane crash happened.

Manifest Season 4 Part 2 Ending Explained: The Arrival of The Date of Death?
The day after Cal’s sacrifice, Michaela, Ben, Saanvi, and TJ wake up gasping for air, at the same time as Eden, Olive, and TJ wander through the woods and find a petrograph. The inscription below the object, intended for passengers, has been obscured by a “Class of 1999” carved over the original. Knowing that they’ve been here before while their mother was taking pictures, the group hopes the images hold the answer. After heartfelt goodbyes, Olive, Eden, Jared, and Drea return to the house – previously taken over by Angelina – to find the photos stored in the attic. When Jared and Drea arrive to clean up the place, she and her followers are gone.
The great mystery becomes their location, as they get into a van and are on their way somewhere (although Adrian and Eagan stop to work on the van — which delays the trip. Drea and Saanvi still hear a report about volcanoes that appear around the world and are ready to erupt without warning. With that, the rest of the passengers gather on the mountain after witnessing Cal’s sapphire lighthouse. They spend the day together, showing how they became a family after passing through the most dire and unexpected circumstances.
As night falls, they prepare for the torturous and transformative end of the journey. Ben’s hopeful speech is interrupted by a tremor that causes the fissure where Saanvi deposited the chest fragment to open. They watch as the plane of Flight 828 climbs, knowing at the same moment that Cal is responsible for sending them a message on how to proceed. To face their judgment, the passengers reboard the plane. Back home, Drea, Olive, and Jared sift through photos of birds trying to find the inscription on the rock — which they successfully do because Olive‘s grandmother was quite adept at organizing, sorting, and naming her photos based on species of birds.
The Judgment Is Approaching
As they list the remaining collections, one catches Olive‘s attention: the silver dragon. Drake is another term for the dragon, and Al-Zuras described the plane as the silver dragon in his writings. They quickly find the inscription, which reads: ‘Forgiveness lights the heart PIXLAZ’, which brings up a mythology lesson from Olive, explaining that some believe hearts are being weighed against a feather — not good against evil, how it was. Therefore, enlightening their hearts is as important as the good deeds they have all done over the past five and a half years.
There is still a mystery about the end of the application. “AZ” stands for Al-Zuras, but the rest of the riddle takes Olive to look at the photos they’ve collected in their research over the last few years. She takes Al-Zura’s diary, and at the same time, they discover that the “P” stands for page, while IXL is the number. When Olive finds the page, she realizes it’s a picture of Ben carrying her out of the fire, which happened in season two. What if it had never been Olive in the cartoon? That’s exactly what you read, as the young woman quickly realizes that it is Angelina, being carried by Ben. To survive, he has to forgive Angelina for killing Grace. Without listening to Olive‘s plea, he will make the right choice and forgive the young woman, or he will sink.
But what does the final part of the inscription mean? “AZ” stands for Al-Zuras, but the rest of the puzzle takes Olive looking through the photos they’ve collected in their research over the last few years. As she takes Al-Zura’s diary, they discover that the “P” stands for page, while “IXL” is the page number. When Olive finds the page, it’s the picture of Ben carrying Olive out of the fire in season two. Only, what if it was never Olive in the cartoon? Suddenly, Olive knows the answer – it’s about Angelina. The drawing is of Ben carrying Angelina. To survive, therefore, he has to forgive Angelina for killing Grace.
The Final Showdown For Angelina?
Returning to the mountain, Ben, Mick, and Saanvi still help the passengers board, but Angelina is not interested in that when he arrives and her henchman Paul fires a warning shot in the air for everyone to stop. The woman demands that everyone disembark from her ark — which she believes was sent only for her and her followers to survive (like Noah) and doesn’t like it when they don’t obey her. She instructs her followers to embark while demanding that the others disembark immediately.
When everyone goes upstairs, Angelina threatens to use her sapphire powers to drive everyone away, but her sapphire’s mystical light flickers and burns, which leaves her powerless. Mick takes advantage and convinces Paul to board, but Angelina takes the gun and points it at them, preventing the three from boarding. A tremor, however, causes her to trip and be thrown backward, but accidentally fires the gun and shoots Saanvi in the forearm, but he boards the plane, while Bethany tells Mick that Amuta needs her in the cabin – which leaves the long-awaited clash between Ben and Angelina to happen.
Ben takes the gun and points it at Angelina and confronts her about why she took everything from him. Angelina responds by claiming to have been chosen and explaining that she knows the loss better than anyone, but Ben tries to convince her that she is no different from any of the other passengers. The young woman does not accept and explains that God gave her the sapphire. Ben realizes that the whole dispute is about how one uses their power, puts the gun down, and allows Angelina to explain Grace‘s murder. The young woman explains that she never wanted to do that and that not a day goes by that she doesn’t regret it. Their conversation, however, is interrupted and there is an explosion from the volcano, whose lava throws them back. Ben is fine, but Angelina has a head injury, and her face is covered in blood.
Judgment Time!
Returning to the plane, Mick takes his seat in the cockpit as the lava approaches. It’s time to get the plane into the sky, and when they’re airborne, Mick steps out of the cockpit as the emergency begins. Some cannot breathe and shake uncontrollably, facing the deaths they would have experienced had the plane not been subjected to the glare. Cracks of fire appear on Paul’s skin, and he screams before catching fire completely, leaving only his ashes, which sets up panic. Randall is next as cracks begin to appear on Saanvi‘s arm. Six more passengers die when Angelina wakes up and Autumn explains that they are dying. When she learns that Paul has died, Autumn begins to turn against Angelina, as she finally begins to face the possibility that she was wrong about everything. It begins to crack and combust in front of the villain.
Then it’s Adian’s turn. Eagan begs Divine Consciousness to spare him, as he is a good man, and offers himself in his place – which the entity does. But Eagan ends up being spared as well, just as Saanvi starts to fall through the cracks. she thinks she deserves to die for killing the Major. But Ben begs her to remember that it was an accident and that she saved so many others – which results in the young woman being spared as well.
Now it’s time for Angelina’s judgment for her many terrible deeds. She begs to be spared and claims she’s got it all wrong. But she starts to combust worse and more painfully than everyone else. But that story isn’t over yet, as the Darkness of the Bad Passengers emerges from Angelina before combining with the others, creating a grim reaper of sorts to replicate what happened to the Meth Heads. However, passengers will not go quietly. They stick together, fighting as Mick and Ben recount some of the good things they’ve done and the horrors they’ve experienced over the last five and a half years. With each comment, the passengers grow stronger, rallying behind the lifeboat’s co-captains until the evil spirits disappear entirely. When they look out the window, the apocalypse is over. Passengers saved the world.
A Happy and Expected Ending!
With that, Amuta calls Mick back to the cockpit and they see the glow from afar and decide to give chase. As they fly towards it, the plane is surrounded by the glow, and they finally feel that they are no longer in the air. Mick returns to the other passengers as the plane door opens. Together they leave and enter… the airport. But it’s not the world they were in. It’s April 7, 2013, when the plane was originally supposed to land.
They’re in the clothes from the series premiere, stepping back like the last eleven years never happened. Except, those who remain remember everything. Ben and Michaela‘s mothers, Karen and Grace are both alive and waiting for them, who rush to hug them filled with emotion at finally being able to see their loved ones. Cal, meanwhile, is back to being a kid without the weight of the world on his shoulders, while Saanvi gets another chance to start a life with Alex. Ben tells Grace that Saanvi is going to cure Cal and everyone sees Angelina’s father is angry at his supposed disappearance of his daughter, while Vance arrives to start a new investigation into Flight 828.
